FCM19750108FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 8, 1975 The meeting was called to order at 7:35 P.M. by Chairman Gottfried. Also present were Aldermen Dumke, Schaumberg, Foldy and Ford. The following persons appeared to apply for Operators Licenses Mark L. DeBack S76 W19577 Prospect Dr., Muskego Calvin Albers S68 W17951 Island Dr., Muskego Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of Operators Licenses for Calvin Albers and James Decker. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Applications for employment from Mary Overmeyer and Linda Posbrig were received and placed on file. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of a resolution amending the salary resolution for 1975 for non-union employees by changing park building custodian from $2.00 to $2.25 and by removing the May 1st designation for salary increases for library pages. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Ald. Schaumberg moved to.recommend Council approval of a resolution establishing salary for clerical help in the assessor's office in the amount of $3.90 per hour. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Communication received from Waukesha County Employment for Youth Program. It was the consensus of opinion that the city should take advantage of this program. Communication was received from the county regarding Public Service Employment - Ceta Title VI, It was the opinion of all of the members of the Finance Committee that the city should take advantage of this program if it is determined that additional employees will be needed in 1976. It would not be their intention to create new positions for the sole purpose of taking advantage of the program. The cormittee authorized the Clerk to change the present budget categories for insurance in order to clarify the cost of each kind of insurance. A report received from Ruekert & Mielke regarding the possibility of providing generators for the city in case of power failure. communication to be forwarded to George Trepanier, Assistant Director of Civilian Defense, to determine whether or not generators of this capacity are available through his office. Claim from Ervin A. Schuller, Janesville Rd., was reviewed and referred to the city's insurance carrier. Ald. Foldy moved to recommend approval of fire protection contracts between the Muskego Volunteer Fire Company, Tess Corners Fire Department and the City. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. The committee received claim of damage from Joe Vesbach. Supt. Bertram reported that, in his opinion, less than one acre was damaged. Following considerable discussion and a review of the lease agreement with Mr. Vesbach it was the decision of the committee to refurdan amount equal to the rental of one acre of land, said amount to be $15.60. i F- cX%mLbW 1/8/75 - P. 2 a Ald.
