MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 4, 1974
The meeting was called to order at 8:OO P.M. by Chairman Schaumberg.
Also present were Aldermen Dumke and Foldy, Lt. Zabel, Chief Kraus
and Lt . Scholz.
The following persons appeared to apply for Operators Licenses:
Mildred Olson
Gerald Meyer
Vincent Gireffre

5610 Arbutus Ct., Greendale
4338 S. Whitnal Ave., Milwaukee
Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend Council approval of Operators
Licenses for Mildred Olson and Gerald Meyer. Seconded by Ald. Dumke,
motion carried.
Chief Kraus to research statute and ordinance regarding requirement for
Operator's License for employees of liquor stores as it pertains to
Vincent Gireffre as manager.
Ald. Foldy moved to recommend Council approval of a one day antique
auction for Bernard Lindner to be held on Tower Drive on October 6,
1974. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Foldy moved to recommend Council approval of a "Gathering" Permit
for Terry Buss for introduction of Suburban Indoor Tennis Courts to be
held on their property in the industrial park on September 15, 1974.
Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Committee requested City Clerk to advertise for bids for the rental of
vacant farm land in the industrial park area.
Ald. Foldy moved to grant 1974 salary increase to Lieutenants and Police
Chief in the amount of 15% over Sergeant's pay for Lieutenants and 15%
over Lgutenant 's pay for Police Chief. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
The following correspondence was reviewed and placed on file.
From Lt. Richard Scholz, dated 8/27/74, directed to Finance Committee
regarding their request for 1974 salaries.
Statement from Nelson & Warren, Inc. in the amount of $117.00 for
actuarial services in connection with Wis. Retirement Fund.
Copy of statement from Law Offices of Philip Marshall directed to Mayor
Gottfried and Local 11695 in the amount of $800.00, one-half payable
by each of the parties.
Copy of letter to Everbrite Electric Service from City Attorney
Buckley regarding installation of city hall-library sign.
To Finance Cormnittee, dated 8/29/74, from Sam Lawent regarding request
for increase in number of Class "B" licenses.
From Nelsom & Warm; Inc~.Fctfrected- to-"ayor, regarding- estimated cost
to City for participation in Wis. Retirement Fund.
From Robert W. Lyons, Local 2414, directed to Mayor, dated 8/26/74,
regarding negotiations for 1975.
All correspondence placed on file.
Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. The
meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
