FCM19740619FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 19, 1974 The meeting was called to ord,er by Mayor Gottfried at 8:30 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Foldy, Schaumberg, Dumke and Wallner. The following persons appeared to apply for a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License: 0 Lulu Belle Schimming - To operate Eve's Paradise Inn on S.T.H. 24 John Dentice - To operate Hillside Tavern on Hwy "00" The following persons appeared to apply for Operator's Licenses: Patrick Schimming Mary Ann Bauer Roland Raatke Robert Hering Dorothy Perkl Kenneth Grabske Valeria Allen James Broehm Carol Janicki Charles Kannard 2541 S. 76th St., West Allis 6110 Linnie Lac Dr., New Berlin W184 S6624 Jewel Crest Dr. 5433 W. National Ave., Milwaukee W147 S8172 Schultz La., H. C. 1504 W. Granada Ct., Milwaukee 19860 Long Lake Dr., Wind. Lake 8020 W. Becher St., West Allis 19420 Bendickson Dr., Wind Lake RR#2 Mukwonago, Wis. Mr. John Kapsos appeared at the meeting regarding the reopening of the former Sid and. Sophie's store on Martin Dr. He indicated that it was his intention to remodel and reopen the store within 90 days. The committee discussed the matter and. it was their decision to amend their previous recommendation to Council for approval of a Class "A" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License by adding I1 subject to the re- modeling and reopening with 90 d.ays". Mr. Donald McCullough, Park Superintendent, appeared at the meeting to review his responsibilities with the committee. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of Operators Licenses for Roland Rad.tke, Mary Ann Bauer, Robert Hering, Dorothy Perkl, Kenneth Grabske, Valeria Allen, James Broehm, Carol Janicki and Charles Kannard. Seconded. by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved for the approval of an Operators License for Patrick Schiming, subject to receipt of a favorable Fingerprint Report. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Ald. Schaumberg moved for the approval of a Swimming Beach Permit for Donald Dixon. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Mr. Fred Merkt and Mr. Erv Arndt appeared at the meeting to discuss proposed wages for the Highway Department personnel. The 1973 Audit for the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Grant & Aid Program was received and reviewed.. 0 The committee received a notice of termination of employment from Rosemary Stoecker. Same placed. on file. The committee reviewed the Financial Report of the city for the month of May. Same placed. on file. The committee directed that a Notary Public Seal for June Elger be obtained. The committee received a claim from Raymond Wallner in the amount of $318,770.00 regarding property owned by Muskego Industrial Park, Inc. Same referred to City Attorney. Ald. Schaumberg moved for approval of Class "B" Fermented Malt Bever & Intox- icating Liquor License for Lulu Belle Schiming and John Dentice. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Finance Committee 6-19-74 - P. 2. Ald. Dumke moved for the approval of payment of vouchers in the amount of $263,346.98. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.. The committee reviewed the request of Everbrite Electrical Service for an additional $436.00 over the amount the agreement approved by the Council for sign designating city hall-library. They advised the committee that a former employee had errored. in his calculations. It was the committee's decision to deny the request. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend. Council approval of the following salary for sewer utility maintenance man: Start 6 Months 18 Months $4.20 Per Hr. $4.50 Per Hr. $4.70 Per Hr. Seconded by Ald.. Dumke, motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved that the position of treatment plant operator be established at the following salary: Start $866.00 Per Mo. 6 Months 18 Months $906.00 Per Mo. $946.00 Per Mo Seconded by Ald.
