C MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 5, 1974
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 7:15 P.M. Also
present were Aldermen Foldy and Schaumberg.
The committee reviewed a recent price change in the proposal from the
Xeroc Co., Inc. They also reviewed the proposal submitted by IBM. It
was the committee's decision to reconsider Resolution 8104-74 and to
change their recommendation from Xerox to IBM.
The committee received $19,019.00 from State of Wisconsin for Law Enforce-
ment Aids.
Correspondence received from Lukes Brock Co. regarding public liability
coverage. Committee to investigate further.
Mr. James Welniak appeared regarding his application for a Class "B"
Fermented Malt Beverage License. It is his intent to open a beer, brats
& pizza restaurant in the Parkland Plaza Shopping Center. The matter was
referred to Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee since a change which estab-
lishes the number of Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage Licenses would be
necessary.
0 Mrs. Audrey Simon, W145 S8016 Schultz La., appeared to apply for a Class
?B'! Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License. Ald. Schaum-
berg moved for the approval of such license for Audrey Simon. Seconded by
Ald. Foldy, motion carried.
Richard and Virginia Strauss appeared regarding their application for a
Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License.
Ald. Foldy moved to recommend approval of a Swimming Beach and Waterway
Marker Permit for Steve Schuler, Willard Masterson, Robert & Judy Klenz,
Daniel P. Amann and L. Martin Oschmann. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg,
motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend the approval of a Class "A" Fermented
Malt Beverage License for the A & P Store. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion
carried.
Ald. Foldy moved to recommend the approval of a Class "A" Fermented Malt
Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License for Rose Wannebo. Seconded by
Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Ald. Foldy moved to recommend approval of Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage
and Intoxicating Liquor Licenses for.Mary Jane Walberts, Clifford's
Catering, Inc., Kenneth Christensen, Richard Strauss and Wayne Hansen.
Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of a Transient Merchant's
License for Roland Lundin at a fee of $10.00. Seconded by.Ald. Foldy,
motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of a Trap License for Schultz
Rod and Gun Club, Richard Bennett, Robert Schaack and Julius Caesar and
for a Rifle Range License for Schultz Rod and Gun Club. Seconded by Ald.
Foldy, motion carried.

0 The committee discussed applications on file for Class "A" FermendMalt
Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor Licenses from A & P Store, Felton &
Blasius, John Kapsos and Parkland Plaza Shopping Center. Following a
considerable amount of discussion during which it was pointed out that
that there was only one Class "A" License available at the present time
it was the committee's decision to recommend to the Common Council
that a Class "A" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License
be approved for John Kapsos to be used at the former Village Food
Market on Martin Drive.
The committee agreed to receommend approval for payment to Don DeBack
covering the base boat of asphalt on Tess Comers Drive.
The committee received bid from Community Newspapers as follows:

Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend Council acceptance of above bid from
Community Newspapers. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried.
Ald. Foldy moved to recomend Council approval of the request for a Dump
Refuse Hauling Permit from Re1 Sanitation covering one truck and two
scooters. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
The committee reviewed a request from the Library concerning the instal-
lation of louvers to provide needed ventilation for the office. Request
referred to heating contractor for recommendation.
The meeting recessed at 8:40 P.M. for the purpose of negotiating and re-
convened at 11:55 P.M.
The committee reviewed the recommendation of the Public Works Committee
Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend Council approval to award the bid to
Don DeBack. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried.
The committee discussed the Clerk's request regarding a 20 year old Royal
Typewriter which is not able to be repaired and has no trade-in value. The
committee decided to dispose of the machine by giving it to a non-profit
organization.
Ald. Foldy moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 12:lO A.M. in order that the committee could
continue on with its negotiations.
