FCM19740417FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 17, 1974. .r The meeting was called to order by Chairman Gottfried at 7:30 P.M. Also >resent were Aldermen Dumke, Foldy, Schaumberg and Knudsen and Police Chief Kraus. The following persons appeared to apply for Operators Licenses: Dennis Mazurczak - bi16373 Janesville Road, Muskego Carol Garner - 212 Garfield Circle, Waukesha Judith Thorson Carol Roncke - S7O vJ13433 Fennimore Lane, Hales Corners - S76 W15116 Roger Drive, Muskego 6 * Ald. Foldy moved to recommend Council approval for Operators Licenses for the following: Dennis Mazurczak, Carol Garner, Judith Thorson and Carol Roncke. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Mr. Roland Lundin, Crowbar Drive, appeared concerning his application for a Transient Merchant License for operating a popcorn wagon in Muskego. Ald. Foldy moved, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, to recommend Cmcil approval of the transfer of $1,300.00 from the General Fund to Account #520.048 Police Department - Other Supplies and Expenses for the purchase of safety flags for bicycles. Motion carried. Police Chief Kraus and City Clerk Bette Bowyer appeared at the meeting to discuss the printing systems with the committee. The committee reviewed the following bid quotations for three portable .type radios for the Police Department: Ken Com 1 Watt $ 3,042.00 196 Days Motorola 3.5 Watts RCA 3,213 .OO 60 Days 1.2 Watts 3 y 244 -00 90 Days Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend Council approval of the purchase of three $ ortable type radios for the Police Department from Motorola at a cost of 3,213.00. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, to recommend Council approval of the Class ttBir Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License for Steven B. Schuler subject to receipt of favorable fingerprint report. Motion carried. A Class "Ati Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License application from A & P was received and placed on file. The city received $77,493.31 Highway Aids. Ald. Foldy moved to recommend Council approval of purchase of Dump Permit ' decals at a cost of approximately $65.00. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg to authorize release of $3,400.00 from the General Fund for promotion of Industrial Park. Motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved, seconded by Ald. Dumke to request Cmncil permission to Motion carried. advertise for bids for the sale of city-owned lots in Fountainwood subdivision. Ald. Foldy moved, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, to approve payment of general vouchers in the amcunt of $495.756.55. Motion carried. - Ald. Foldy moved, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, to recommend Council approval to ahire g with he Police Department. rofessional negotiator to assist the city in the arbitration negotiations Ald. Foldy moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald.
