FCM19740320FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 20, 1974 were Aldermen Dumke and Schaumberg and Police Chief Kraus. The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Foldy. A 81so present Quotations for walkie talkies for the Police Department were reviewed. Ald. Schaumberg moved to authorize the expenditure of $80.00 for the purpose of a softball franchise for the Muskego Police Department Athletic Program. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Mr. Scott Krause, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Mr. Tom Kramer, Muskego, appeared at the meeting to apply for a Class "B" License for the Muskego Lakes Country Club. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend Council approval of a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License subject to the receipt of a statement fron the former agent, Eugene Riegel, indicating relinquishment of his license, the expiration of the necessary waiting period after publication and a favorable fingerprint report. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Mr. Harold DeBack appeared at the meeting concerning lots in Kaiser Subdivision. Committee to review with Assessor and Building Inspector. The committee received an application for a Class "A" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License from Mr. John Kapsos, 1843 a 0 Hillock Ct., Richfield, Wisconsin. No action was taken. The committee received statement of Highway Aids in the amount of $23,917.40 from the Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation. The committee received a communications from Donald R. Mohan claiming city destroyed trees worth $440.73. The matter was 'referred to the Public Works Department. The committee directed City Attorney Buckley to reword the city's agreement with the E. M. Boerke Co. to include the 9% commission for sale of land when it involved co-broking. It was the committee's decision to offer R. E. Lassa $6,000.00 for lake lot owned by him and to invite the Lassas to the next Finance Committee meeting . Ald. Foldy moved to deny the application for a Special Class "B" "Gathering'' License for Schultz Rod and Gun Club because of a commun- ication from the Department of Criminal Justice. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Mr. Frank DeAngelis appeared at the meeting concerning the position of city engineer. He expressed the opinion that the city should have one. He also expressed opinion regarding opening negotiation sessions to all aldermen for observation. It was the committee's decision to invite a representative from the E. M. Boerke Company to appear before the Council to discuss their program concerning the industrial park. Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
