FCM19740306FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO 0 a 0 e MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 6, 1974 The meeting was called to order at 8:OO P.M. by Chairman Gottfried. Also present were Aldermen Foldy, Schaumberg and Dumke and Police Chief Kraus. The following persons appeared to apply for an Operators License: Barbara Barbian 7810 S. 100th St. , Franklin Pamela Behrs W195 S7234 Hillendale Dr., Muskego Ald. Schaumberg moved for the approval of Operators Licenses for Barbara Barbian and Pamela Behrs. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved for the approval of the purchase of a calculator for the Police Department at a cost of $249.00 and that the monies be charged against the Police Department Capital Budget. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved for the approval of Officer Budish attending a two-week training course in narcotics in Eau Claire, Wisconsin the first two weeks of April. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved to approve the expenditure of $100.00 from Acct. 520.016 to the Waukesha County Chiefs Association to host the State Police Chief's Association. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Ald. Schaumberg moved to approve the payment of $292.39 to the Telephone Company for damage done to an underground cable. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried with Ald. Foldy abstaining from the vote. Certificate of Insurance has been received from Muskego Fine Arts, Inc. by Capitol Indemnity Corporation - $500,000.00 combined single limits. Communication received from the DNR indicating that water safety patrol aids have been reduced from $2,038.94 to $1,748.27. The committee reviewed the applications for the position of Deputy Inspector and Mr. Lee was given authorization to hire a Deputy Inspector at 6-mos. pay level. Ald. Foldy moved to recommend to Council the authorization for Ruekert and Mielke to develop a drainage plan covering 84 quarter sections of the city at a cost not to exceed $10,000.00. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved that Ruekert & Mielke be authorized to place property lines on milar topographical maps at a cost of $24,000.00. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. A request from Harold DeBack for a refund as a result of an error in the total taxes for which he was billed was discussed. It was the committee's decision not to make any reimbursement. Ald.
