MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 20, 1974
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gottfried at 8:OO P.M. Also
present were Aldermen Foldy, Ford, Dumke, Police Chief Kraus and Supt.
Bertram.
'Phe following persons appeared to apply for Operators Licenses:
Leon M. Wolfram W178 S6968 Shady Lane, Muskego
Norman Hanson 2835 S. Greeley St. , Milwaukee
Ald. Foldy moved for the approval of Operators Licenses for Leon Wolfram
and Norman Hanson. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The committee discussed the applicants for the position of Deputy
Inspector. No action was taken.
Mr. Robert Gumieny appeared at the meeting to discuss his offer to
purchase a lot in the industrial park, said lot located south of Gemini
Drive and adjacent to the Marek Litho Co. He indicated that his pro-
posed building would be approximately 80' x 100' and that it would be
a combination of steel, stone and brick. He assured the committee
that the building would be an asset to the industrial park and he further
indicated that he would prefer the lot he made the offer on. Ald.
Schaumberg moved to recommend to the Council the acceptance of Mr.
Gumieny's offer to purchase. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. The motion
carried with Ald. Foldy voting "no" . The motion carried.
Mr. Henry Wolf appeared at the meeting to explain his company's proposal
for the city's insurance. Mr. Stanley Brock, the city's consultant, did
not appear although he had been invited to the meeting. Ald. Schaumberg
moved to recommend to Council that the city accept the low quote for
the city's insurance program. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend payment of general vouchers in the
amount of $1,257,235.59 payable 2/26/74. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion
carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Foldy. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 11:15 P.M.
