FCM19740207FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 7, 1974 The meeting was called to order at 8:OO P.M. by Mayor Gottfried. Also present were Aldermen Foldy and Schaumberg. The following persons appeared at the meeting to apply for Operators Licenses : William Holm W194 S7401 Racine Ave., Muskego, Wis. Sally Seppala W244 S4512 Guthrie Rd., Waukesha, Wis. Joan Maass 20285 Oak Ridge Dr., Windlake, Wis. John Bartelak 2550 S. Brookland Rd., New Berlin, Wis. Ald. Foldy moved to recommend-appro+al of-Operators Licetises for William Holm, SallgySeppala, Joan Maass and John Bartelak. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved to recommend approval of the soliciting of bids for three walkie talkies for the Police Department. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of the leasing of a card reader with Mutual Leasing Associates, Inc. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. The committee reviewed a customer claim sunrmary from Sentry Insurance Co. in the amount of $180.00. The committee received a notice of retainer from John P. Buckley in the amount of $250.00 regarding the McKinney matter. Ald. Schaumberg moved for the approval of Gerald P. Lee and Dan Nowak to attend classes in Madison during February and April for certification and re-certification. Ald. Schaumberg move to recommend to the Council the approval of the purchase of three new voting machines at a cost of $2,208.00 each. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved to charge developers $6.00 per acre for 2-ft. contour maps. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. The Finance Committee authorized the expenditure of up to $50.00 for a new sign identifying the city's recycling center. The request for the purchase of a calculator from the Police Department was referred to the Safety Committee for recommendation. The Offer to Purchase by Robert Gumieny for a one-acre lot in the industrial park in the amount of $6,000.00 was reviewed and action on same was deferred pending a meeting with the prospective buyer. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of the contract between the city and Tess Corners Fire Dept. for rescue service. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Ald.
