FCM19731017FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 17, 1973 @The meeting wascalled to order at 8:lO P.M. by Chairman Gottfried. Also present were Aldermen Foldy, Dumke, Schaumberg and Knudsen. Chief Kraus was also present. Mrs. Charmian Buhrandt and Mrs. Ruth Leichtfuss, representing the Library Board discussed with the committee the need for a full time professional librarian as well as an additional part time non-professional librarian which was submitted in their budget for 1974. Officers John Johnson and William Meeks appeared in regard to the grievance filed by the Professional Policeman's Association on September 26, 1973. Mr. Carl Wauer, representing Muskego Rendering Company, appeared with Attorney Richard Weiss and Errol Hohmann of the First Wisconsin National Bank of Brookfield - Muskego Branch, in regard to his request that con- sideration be given by the Council to issue Industrial Development Revenue Bonds Bonds. Ald. Dumke moved to deny the grievance filed by the MPPA on September 26, 1973. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend to the Council the adoption of a resolution which would indicate their willingness to issue Industrial Development Revenue Bonds in an amount not to exceed $1,500,000.00 for the purpose of aiding Muskego Rendering Company, Inc. to construct a new plant in the City of Muskego. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved to approve payment of general vouchers in the amount of $109,123.31. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. A discussion was held relative to the status of Mr. James Kibbe, Utility Maintenance Man and Ray Footland, Sewer Inspector. It was generally agreed that the committee had previously provided that James Kibbe shall be entitled to all benefits afforded by Resolution 1/36-72. It was further pointed out that the committee, in discussing the matter, felt that until the automatic warning systems were placed in the pumping stations Mr. Kibbe was to take compensatory time off for overtime worked. The committee will discuss this matter at their next regular meeting. The matter of Ray Foot- land was also deferred until the minutes of the Sewer Committee, Public Works Committee and Finance Committee could be reviewed. Ald. Schaumberg moved for the approval of the expenditure in the amount of $525.00 for the purpose of painting the exterior of the Police Department. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. 0 0 OAld.
