FCM19730606" FTNANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 6, 1973 0 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bottfried at 8:lO P.M. Also present were Committee members Dumke, Foldy and Schaumberg, Aldermen Knudsen, Knudsen, Wallner and Czarnecki and Police Chief Kraus. The following persons appeared to apply for an Operators License: Hilbert Bode - W180 S6835 Muskego Dr. Gerald Weber - 3311 S. 100th St., Greenfield Elaine Samolinski, W132 S6493 Saroyan Ct., Muskego Mr. Winston J. Albee, R#2 Box 122A, Mukwonago, Wisconsin, appeared to apply for a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License. Mr. Jack Bischoff appeared at the meeting to discuss the possibility of transferring a Class "A" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License now held by Sid and Sophies to the Parkland Plaza Shopping Center if the sale of Sid and Sophie's is consummated. He has been advised that the new owners would not be interested in retaining the license. Mr. William Hockett appeared at the meeting to discuss the behavior history at his place of business. Mr. Hockett assured the committee that he has taken the necessary steps to improve conditions. Ald. Foldy moved to 0 recommend Council approval of a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and In- toxicating Liquor License for William Hockett. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. The motion carried 2 - 1. Ald. Dumke moved fo recommend approval of a Class "A" Liquor License for Rose Wannebo. Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend approval of a Class "B" License for Clifford's Catering, Inc., William Glynn, Agent. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved to recommend approval of Trap Shoot Licenses for Robert Schaack, Julius Caesar and Alvin Simon. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved to recommend approval of Waterway Marker Permits for Daniel P. Amann, Denoon Beach, Inc., Leonard M. Oschmann and Judith and Robert Klenz. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved to recommend approval of a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License for the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1057. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved to approve promotion of Karen Rosecky to fill the vacancy as Secretary Staff Clerk. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. City Clerk notified the committee that all employees have been given copies of resolutions concerning fringe benefits and conditions of employment as well as explanation of our retirement program. Ald. Schaumberg moved, as seconded by Ald. Dumke, that Ald. Foldy be granted permission to attend the Wisconsin Council of Criminal Justice on the 18th and 19th of June. Motion carried. Finance committee June 6, 1973 - P. 2 A request from Mr. Allan Goetz to temporarily park a trailer on the Elbert Ison property located at S94 W13674 Ryan Road, was considered. Ald. Foldy moved to recommend Council approval of a temporary trailer permit for Allan Goetz subject to the following: e (1) There be a 60 day limit for the parking of the trailer (2) Owner must agree to sign a statement that in the event the trailer is not removed at the end of the 60 days the city may have it hauled away at the landowner's expense. Motion seconded by Ald. Dumke and carried. Claims from Wallace and Gladys Prestin, Frank and Gertrude Harding, John and Rita Lufkin, John and Bernette Kelley, as a result of flood damage were received. Ald. Foldy moved, as seconded by Ald. Dumke, that same be referred to City Attorney. Motion carried. The committee discussed recent damage to the pistol range. The committee their decision that no insurance will be carried because of the small value of the property. The Police Department and the Public Works Department will review the feasibility of creating the position of a garage mechanic. Ald. Foldy moved, as seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, to recommend Council approval of the purchase of $915,000.00 in revenue bonds. Motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
