MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 18, 1973
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Gottfried. Also
present were Aldermen Dumke, Foldy and Schaumberg. Also present was
was Ald. Knudsen.
Margaret Treptow, 3830 Marpe, Quinnesec, Michigan, appeared to apply
for an Operators License. Mayor Gottfried will ch'eck with Inspector Lee @ regarding sign for Willows Tavern (formerly The Reef),
The following other persons appeared to apply for an Operators License:

Betty J. Ashby, S76 W18180 Janesville Rd., Muskego, appeared to apply
for a Class "A" Beer Depot License (formerly Merkts).
Richard Strauss, 571 W17P74 Pleasant View Dr., Muskego, appeared to apply
for a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License
(formerly Leo's Lakeview Resort).
Mr. Frank Wilson, S76 W17957 Janesville Rd., appeared to formally withdraw
his application for a C1ass"B" Tavern License (Playgirl Lounge).
Ald. Duke moved to recommend Council approval of Operators Licenses for
Margaret Treptow, James E. Sarchet, Judy Schultz and Jacqueline Chapman.
Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg was elected by the committee to have the position of
Secretary of the Finance Committee.
Ald. Dumke moved to recommend payment of general vouchers in the amount
of $477,410.69, payable 4/24/73. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion
carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend payment of sewer utility vouchers in
the amount of $20,209.38. Motion carried.
Supplemental Highway Aids in the amount of $68,232.56 were received from
the State of Wisconsin - Dept. of Transportation.
Notification from the Wisconsin Employment Relations Board that the Municipal
Employees Union was certified on March 28, 1973.
The committee agreed to provide the Tess Corners Fire Dept. one of the spare
desks in the basement as per their written request.
A request was received from the City Clerk to attend a workshop on local
government data processing in Madison on May 11, 1973. Request was granted.

The committee approved trial of a humidifer to reduce static discharge in
machine room when new bookkeeping machine arrives.
The request for leave of absence from June 25th through July 13th, 1973, for
the purpose of a honeymoon was considered. Ald. Dumke moved to grant the
leave since the subject of his marriage and honeymoon were reviewed during
his employment interview. Approval is subject to letter of approval from
Inspector Lee verifying same. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.
Ald Foldy moved for the approval of a "Gathering" License for St. Leonard's
Home and School for May 5, 1973.

Payroll decuction cards from members of the new Municipal Union were
received and forwatded to the City Clerk for processing.
A request from Ald. Knudsen, Chairman of Clean and Green Week for the
Chamber of Commerce, for $.40 for refreshment per participant in Clean
and Green activity was received. Ald. Dumke moved to grant the request. @ Seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 10:15 P.M.
