FCM19730221FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO e MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 21, 1973 The meeting was called to order at 8:OO P.M. by Mayor Gottfried. Also present were Ald. Cole, Dumke and Foldy. The minutes of the previous meeting held on February 7, 1973, were reviewed and placed on file. The following persons appeared to apply for Operators Licenses: Thomas Rynders 11525 W. Godsell Ave., Hales Corners, Wis. Michele Radtke W184 S6624 Jewel Crest Dr., Muskego Ald. Foldy moved to recommend Council approval of Operators Licenses for Thomas Rynders and Michele Radtke. Seconded by Ald. Cole. Motion carried. Ray Wallner appeared to request consideration of a proposal wherein the city would use "B" Bonds in financing the improvements in Mus-Kee-Guac Subdivision. Ald. Foldy moved to recommend the acceptance of "B" Bonds as financing for special assessments in Mus-Kee-Guac Subdivision. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. City Treasurer Jean Sanders requested that six (6) rescue call statements be considered uncollectable. Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Common Council approval of a resolution which would accomplish this. Secondeded by Ald. Cole. Motion carried. A claim from George Marhefka for $10.35 for a damaged mail box has been received by the city since the contractor responsible for the damage is no longer in business. Ald. Cole suggested that a letter be sent to the Contractor's Liability Insurance carrier, asking that this claim be honored. Police Chief Kraus's proposal of 2/14/73 requests that the city enter into'a one-year maintenance agreement for the offset press at a 'cost of $216.00. Ald. Cole moved to recommend the request. Seconded by Ald. Foldy. Motion carried. The Police Dept. proposal, dated 2/13/73, requests that the committee recommend that the Council grant the expenditure of $883.80 for the purchase of a walkie talkie. Ald. Foldy moved to approve of the purchase provided Chief Kraus can accomplish: Ohfs witbin.-the. $&SOi-flO .bBdgeted, in the 1973 Capital Budget. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. Ald. Dumke moved to establish the 1973 salary for sewer inspectors at $3.75 to start and $4.17 per hour after six months and a salary of $2.00 per hour for custodians for the aark buildings. Seconded by Ald. Foldy. Motion carried. Ald. Cole moved to authorize payment of the Assesor's part time clerical employee at the job rate classification for Bookkeeper-Clerk at the 18 month rate. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. Ald. Foldy moved to authorize the purchase of 69 monuments at a cost of $22.95 each plus $2.50 each for the brass caps plus a total of $100.00 for individual identification on the caps. Seconded by Ald.
