FCM19710908FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 8, 1971 The meeting was called to order at 8:OO P.M. Present were Mayor Gottfried, Aldermen Sapp, Narlock, Burgermeister and Schaumberg. Minutes of the meeting held 8/18/71 were reviewed and placed on file. The following persons appeared to apply for Operators Licenses: Tom Zickert, W180 S7832 Pioneer Dr., Muskego, Wis. Pamela Pfeil, 1102 Motoh Drive, Waukesha, Wis. John Bronk, W180 S7705 Racine Ave., Muskego, Wis. Joseph Ward, S106 W20743 N. Shore Dr., Muskego, Wis. Mary Koebler, 6020 Hwy ZC, Dousman, Wis. Ald. Narlock moved to reconnnend approval of Operators License for Tom Zickert, Pamela Pfeil and Mary Koebler pending receipt of favorable Fingerprint Report. Seconded by Ald. Sapp, motion carried. Ald. Burgermeister moved to recommend approval of Operators License for John Bronk,and Joseph Ward, pending receipt of favorable Medical and Fingerprint Report. Seconded by Ald. Narlock, motion carried. Ald. Sapp moved to grant the Muskego Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary a Gathering Permit for 1012171. Seconded by Narlock, motion carried. Ald. Narlock moved to grant V.F.W. Post #8171 of Muskego a Gathering Permit for September 11th and 12th, 1971. Ald. Sapp seconded, motion carried. William Hockett, W194 S7060 Hillendale Dr., Muskego, applied for a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License. Ald. Sapp moved to recommend approval of same, subject to the necessary publication requirements. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. Ald. Burgermeister moved to deny reimbursement to Officer Wilcox in the amount of $23.90 for his wrist watch. Seconded by Ald. Sapp, motion carried. Ald. Narlock moved to recommend that the low bid for the City Hall/Library be accepted by the Council in the amount of $233,279.35 and architect fees in the amount of $10,500.00. These based upon base bid for City Hall/Library $161,247.00, with 12' to Library, Standard block in lieu of Utility Block, removal of separations in basement, new glass spec- ifications, sound proof walls in Council chambers, Library and Machine room only. Plumbing bid of $15,733.00 eliminating minor access. Heating bid-of $35,506..00. eliminating .various controls~, electrical 1 bid of $20,793.35 based upon bidder qualifying. Seconded by Ald. Burgermeister. Motion carried. Ald. Sapp moved to recommend to the Council the rejection of all bids for the Park and Recreation Building at Kurth Park. Seconded by Ald. Narlock, motion carried. The following applications for Garbage Hauling Permits were received: e. Acme Disposal Co. Sanitary Disposal Service .* Finance Comittee 9/8/71 City of Muskego Page 2. The following application for a Sanitary Landfill Permit was received: Wauer, Inc. Ald. Narlock moved to defer action until application can be reviewed more thoroughly. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried. It was the decision of the Committee to meet at 7:OO P.M. on 9/22/71 in lieu of the regular hours set by the monthly calendar. Mr. Seegar Swanson of Ehlers & Associates presented an up-dated report of the general obligation tax impact for 1971 and 1972. Ald. Burgermeister moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Narlock.
