FCM19710407FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 7, 1971 The meeting was called to order at 7:OO P.M. by Mayor Gottfried. Also present were Aldermen Narlock, Wollman and Sapp. The minutes of the previous meeting held on March 17, 1971, were reviewed and placed on file. The following persons appeared to apply for Operator Licenses: -. Mr. Delvin Molkentin, 20385 Oak Ridge Rd. Wind Lake Mr. Dale Brown, 824 Park Ave. Racine. Mr. Alan Schneider, S79 W16061 Bay Lane Pl., Muskego Mr. William Giesfeldt, 21777 W. National Ave. New Berlin Ald. Sapp moved to recommend approval of an Operators License for Delvin Molkentin, Dale Brown and William Giesfeldt, subject to receipt of favorable Medical Reports. Seconded by Ald. Wollman, motion carried. Ald. Narlock moved to recommend approval of an Operators License for Alan Schneider. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried. Lt. Scholz appeared to discuss the Police Dept. request for a transfer of funds in the amount of $1,990.0Ofor the purpose of having a new 80-foot radio towner installed. Ald. Sapp moved to accept low bid and to transfer funds for the erection of said tower as per bid re- ceived from Tower Erectors, 2715 s. Superior St., Milwaukee, Wis. Seconded by Ald. Narlock, motion carried. The Police Department request, dated March 22, 1971, requesting a transfer of money from the Salary Acct. 520-011, the sum of $4,480.00; from Acct. 512-050, Retirement, $224.00; from Acct. 512-051, Social Security, the sum of $149.00; from Acct. 512-052, Health & Hospital- ization, the sum of $166.80; from Acct. 512-053, Group Life Insurance, the sum of $29.60; from Acct. 520-016, Meetings & Conferences, the sum of $40.00; and from Acct. 520-081, Capital Outlay, the sum of $418.00 for a total of $5,508.00 to a new account, 520-050. Ald. Wollman moved to transfer the above amount from their respective accounts to a new Acct. 520-050. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. The amount of $22,217.00 was received from the State of Wisconsin for remittance of highway aids. An estimate was received from Irvin Marath for repairing the roof on City Hall and for chimney flashing for a total of $45.00. Ald. Sapp moved to approve this work as it is reimbursable from our insurance carried. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. Resolution #62-71, Correcting Erroneous Assessment,was discussed. Ald. Narlock moved to recomend Common Council approval of this resolution. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried. - The- request from David and Judith- LudwTg, asking for a refund of - " $24.80, plus interest, on the 1969 real estate tax, was discussed. Attorney Buckley had advised the Cormnittee that this request should be denied. Ald. Sapp moved to recommend denial of this claim. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. The Lease of Harold Diekfuss for 39 acres of city-owned land was approve a lease in the amount of $1540.24. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried. discussed. Ald. Narlock moved to recommend that the Common Council Finance Committee 4/8/71 City of Muskego Page 2. 0 Mayor Gottfried advised the Committee that no bids were received fo; the purchase of 9% acres of city-owned land. Ald. Narlock moved to recommend Common Council approval of a Trap Shoot License for Richard Bennett, S90 W13960 Boxhorn Drive. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried. Ald. Wollman moved to recornend a "Gathering" License for St. Leonard's Home and School for April 17, 1971. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. Ald. Sapp moved to recommend approval of a "Gathering" License for Muskego Volunteer Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary on April 24, 1971. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. The final report on the Biq Muskego Lake Project was received from Casey Kendziorski, Jr. Ald. Wollman moved to authorize the final payment of $100.00 due to Mr. Kendziorski. Seconded by Ald.
