MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 17, 1971
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Gottfried. Also
present were Aldermen Narlock, Wollman and Sapp.
The minutes of the previous meeting held on March 3, 1971, were reviewed
and placed on file.
The following persons appeared to apply for Operator's Licenses:
Harold W. Crosby, S82 W13175 Acker Dr., Hales Corners, Wisconsin
Mrs. Linda Schneider, S94 W14358 Ryan Rd., Hales Corners, Wisconsin
Mrs. Jean C. Scheerer, W184 S6632 Jewel Crest Dr., Muskego, Wisconsin
Ald. Sapp moved to recomend Common Council approval of Operators License
for Harold Crosby and Linda Schneider. Seconded by Ald. Narlock, motion
carried.
Ald. Wollman moved to recommend approval of Operators License for Jean
Scheerer, subject to receipt of favorable Medical Report. Seconded by
Ald. Narlock. Motion carried.
Ald. Narlock moved to recommend Council approval of the recommendation
of City Attorney Buckley regarding settlement of the Tax Claim in the
amount of $875.36 by Jt. School District #l of the Town of Vernon.
Seconded by Ald. Wollman, motion carried.
The Police Dept. Request, dated March 16, 1971, regarding the establish-
ment of a Specialist Rank Salary at $10,000.00, effective April 1, 1971,
for the Juvenile Officer, was discussed. Ald. Narlock moved to recommend
approval of the establishment of the position of Juvenile Officer, effect-
ive April 1, 1971, at a salary of $10,000.00 per year. Seconded by Ald.
Sapp. Motion carried.
A letter dated March 1, 1971, from Assistant City Attorney Roger Walsh
of the City of West Allis, regarding cooperation among municipalities
in collective bargaining, was read and discussed.
Ald. Narlock moved to recommend payment of vouchers in the amount of
$158,557.20, and,sewer vouchers in the amount of $8,134.76, payable
March 23, 1971. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried.
Ald. Sapp moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried.
