FCM19701118FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 18, 1970 The meeting was called to order at 7:40 P.M. by Mayor Gottfried. Also present were Aldermen Narlock, Wollman and Sapp. The following persons appeared to apply for Operators Licenses : Fred Giesegh, Wl89 S6396 Preston Dr., Muskego Frank J. Szalkowski, W144 S7913 Durham Dr., Muskego Ald. Narlock moved to recommend Common Council approval of an Operators License for Fred Giesegh, subject to receipt of favorable Fingerprint Report. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried. Ald. Wollman moved to recommend approval of an Operators License for Frank J. Szalkowski, subject to receipt of favorable Fingerprint Report. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. The annual report for the Fiscal year 1969-1970 was received from the Dept. of Agriculture-Bureau of Weights and Measures, along with a statement in the amount of $600.00. A report from Ruekert & Mielke indicating that the low bid for the Kurth Park Building came in at $42,727.00. The City Clerk indicated by memo, that the City's Blue Cross - Blue Shield coverage premiums are expected to increase approximately 12%. The Committee will request quotations from other insurance companies for like coverage. The request from Richard J. Smith, W194 57060 Hillendale Dr. for a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License, was reviewed. Ald. Narlock moved to recommend Common Council approval of this license. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried. The Committee discussed the purchase vs. the lease arrangement of the AB Dick Copy Machine. Ald. Wollman moved to recommend Common Council approval of a rental plan for a period of one year at a cost of $45.00 per month from Robertson, Inc. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. The request for a transfer of license from Robert Brinkmeier to Lela, Brinkmeier, his widow, was discussed. It was the decision of the Committee to transfer the License. A letter from the State of Wisconsin-Dept. of Justice, dated 11/12/70, informing the city that our application requesting funds for a Juvenile Officer was being considered at the present time. Resolution %241-70, Establishing Salaries for Elected Officials and Other Employees of the City of Muskego €or the Year 1971, was reviewed in its entirety. Ald. Sapp moved to recommend Common Council adoption of the Salary Resolution. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried. Ald. Wollman moved to recommend Common Council approval of payment of vouchers in the amount of $243,224.05. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. Ald. Wollman moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald.
