FCM19701021FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 21, 1970 The meeting was called to order at 8:OO P.M. by Acting Chairman Wollman. Also present were Ald. Narlock and Sapp. The following persons appeared to apply for Operator's Licenses: Hattie Van Rennnen, 17075 W. Loomis Rd., Hales Corners, Wis. Jeffery Behrs, W165 S8260 Kurtze La., Muskego, Wisconsin Quinn J. Kearney, 11525 Church St., Franklin, Wisconsin Dorothy Kramey,R #3, Box 482, Pewaukee, Wisconsin Ald. Narlock moved to recommend approval of an Operator's License for Jeffery Behrs and Quinn J. Kearney. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried. Ald. Narlock moved to recommend approval of an Operator's License for Hattie Van Remmen, subject to receipt of a favorable Fingerprint Report. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried. Ald. Sapp moved to recommend approval of an Operator's License for Dorothy Kramer, subject to the receipt of a favorable Fingerprint Report. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. A letter from the State of Wisconsin - Employee Trust Fund, dated October 5th, 1970, regarding eligibility for participation in the Municipal Group Life Insurance Program was read and discussed. No action was taken. 0 A letter from Cybulski & Dunlap, Attorneys-at-Law, 3625 W. Oklahoma Ave., Milwaukee, regarding the claim of William B. Drake was read and discussed. This will be referred to the City's insurance carrier. A letter from Attorney Leonard W. Schultz, dated October 12, 1970, regarding a claim of Joint School District 81 of the Town of Vernon and Village of Big Bend, in the amount of $1,670.00 for 1968 was read and discussed. This will be referred to City Attorney Buckley. A leteer from James Blake of Blake Electronics, dated October 13th, 1970, was read and discussed. Ald. Narlock moved to recommend that the Common Council extend Mr. Blake's Offer to Purchase for six months from the expiration date of the original offer. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried. The Committee discussed the choice of appraisers to be hired to appraise the 9.5 acres of city-owned land. Ald. Sapp moved to hire Mr. Harry 0 Koepp, who was recommended by Attorney Buckley, as being well qualified to do this appraisal. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. Several Department Budgets for 1971 were reviewed. Ald. Sapp moved to recommend payment of vouchers in the amount of -$153,398.61. --Seconded .by -Ald. Wol-lman.~ Motion-carried; - - Ald.
