FCM19700902-2-q _. FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 2, 1970 Mayor Gottfried called the meeting to order at 8:lO P.M. Also present were Aldermen Narlock, Wollman and Sapp. The minutes of the previous meeting held on August 26, 1970, were reviewed and placed on file. 0 The following people appeared to apply for an Operators License: Mrs. Harriet Hollencamp S71 W19044 Hillview Dr., Muskego Mr. Lester J. Chapin W175 S7245 Schubring Dr. , Muskego Mr. Thomas Grzechowiak 12300 Ridge Tr., Hales Corners Mr. Ray Kaczmarek W171 S7210 Lannon Dr., Muskego The meeting recessed at 8:21 P.M. and was reconvened at 9:40 P.M. Ald. Sapp moved to recommend Council approval of Operators Licenses for Mrs. Hollencamp, Mr. Chapin and Mr. Kaczmarek, subject to receipt of favorable Fingerprint Reports. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. Ald. Narlock moved to recmend approval of an Operator's License for Mr. Thomas Grzechowiak, subject to receipt of favorable Medical and Finger- print Reports. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried. Ald. Wollman moved to change the effective dates of the City's Insurance coverage from a fiscal basis to a calendar basis, for easier budgeting. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. Ald. Narlock moved to recommend that the cityfits insurance coverage to the State Insurance Fund, covering such items as fire, lightning and extended coverage, wind and hail, motor vehicle, etc. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried. It was noted that the City of Muskego has received an additional $10,026.83 from the State of Wisconsin, Code /I323 - Liquor Tax apportion. Ald. Wollman moved to recommend payment of $9,009.00 to Gazinski, Schulze and Zemonovic, Architects, same to be taken from Unappropriated Surplus. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried. The proposal from Calvary Church was discussed. It is the committee's feeling that the building would not be adequate for the city's needs. Ald. Sapp moved to recommend to have the Council authorize Birch, Grisa - Phillips to advertise for bids for the grading of the land and the rough Park with alternate bids for grading 44 acres and rough grading of Appolo Drive only. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried. After much discussion regarding the painting of the city hall and the city garage, Ald. Narlock moved to recommend that the Common Council approve the low bid from Harold Luedtke, in the amount of $1,890.00. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried. . .. --_ .- - .. Job classification for clerical employees was discussed. Phey were re- viewed and approved for distribution to department heads, who will be requested to place their employees-in the applicable classification, for review by the Finance Committee, at the September 16th, 1970, meeting. Ald. Narlock moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald.
