Minutes of meeting held June 17, 1970
0 The meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m., by Mayor Gottfried.
Also present were Aldermen Foldy, Narlock, Wollman and Sapp.
The minutes of the previous meeting held on June 3, 1970, were
reviewed and placed on file.
Kenneth Dorow, S69 W17629 Wildwood Dr., appeared to apply for an
Operator's License..
Edward Subel, W139 S693P Sherwood Circle, appeared to apply for an
Operator's License.
James W. Harsch, 5527 W. National Ave.. Milwaukee, appeared to apply
for an Operator's License.
Paul M. DeAngelis. W187 S6790 Gold Dr., appeared to apply for an
Operator's License.
Ald. Wollman moved to recommend Common Council approval of an
Operator's License for Kenneth Dorow, Seconded by Ald. Narlock.
Motion Carried.
Ald. Narlock moved to recommend Common Council approval of an
Operator's License for Edward Subel, subject to receipt of favorable
Fingerprint and Medical Reports, seconded by Ald. Wollman, Motion
carried.
Ald. Sapp moved to recommend denial of an Operator's License for James
W. Harsch. The motion died for lack of a second.
Ald. Wollman moved to defer action on the application for an Operator's
License for James W. Harsch. Seconded by Ald Narlock. Motion carried.
Ald. Sapp moved to recommend Council approval of an Operator's
License for Paul M. DeAngelis, subject to receipt of favorable Finger-
print and Medical Reports. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
An application for a Class "B"
Liquor Licenee was received from Dale A. VanOoyen, W191 S7610
Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating
Hillendale Dr.
A letter was received from the League of Wisconsin Municipalities,
dated June 9, 1970, explaining a delay in their Labor Relations Service.
A bid from Community Newspapers, for publication of the City of Muskego's
Official Notices, at a rate of $1.15 per column inch, was received. Ald.
Narlock moved to accept the bid from Community Newspapers, to act as our
Official Newspaper. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion Carried.

A letter was received from Building Inspector Lee, dated June 17, 1970,
requesting reimbursement of $162.09 in expenses incurred during a
recent training session at Madison. Ald. Wollman moved to reimburse Mr.
Lee for his expenses, and that $121.05 be transferred from the
Contingency fund'to cover this expense. Seconded by Ald. Narlock.
Motion Carried.
The matter of hiring part time Sewer Inspectors was discussed. It was
agreed'that City Clerk Bette Bowyer should advertise for these em--
ployees immediately. Salary suggested by the Finance Committee for
.these positions is $4.00 per hour.
Bills were received from the Muskego Volunteer Fire Department, for
installation of a well, as follows:

Ald. Sapp moved to defer action on this matter, in order to get

Mr. Nicholas Quartaro appeared to review the 1969 Audit Report as
submitted by the accounting firm of Conley, McDonald, Sprague 6 Co.
Ald. Sapp moved to recommend approval of vouchers in the amount of
$176,445.36. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried.
Ald. Narlock moved to purchase insurance for the former Bluhm
property, in the amount of $15,000.00 for a 1 year period, with an
annual premium of $58.50. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried.
bids for painting the exterior of City Hall and the City Garage.
Ald. Wollman moved to recommend that the Common Council advertise for

Ald. Narlock moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion carried
