MINUTES OF MEETING 'HELD MAY 20TH, 1970
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gottfried at 8:15 P.M.
Also present were Aldermen Narlock, Wollman, and Sapp.
Mr. Michael Amann, sll0 W20874 S. Denoon Rd., appeared to apply for an a Operators License.
Mr. Pred Giesigh, W172 S7505 Lannon Dr., appeared to apply for an
Operators License.
Mr. Robert Dresen, W187 S10740 Muskego Dam Rd., appeared to apply for
an Operators License.
Mr. Thomas Ajack, 9525 lVm Forest Hone Ave7< Hales Corners, appeared
to apply for an Operators License.
Mr. James Janz, Route #1 Box 966 Waterford, appeared to apply for an
Operators License.
The meeting recessed at 8:40 P.M.
The meeting reconvened at 9:45 P.M., with Aldermen Dwyer and Poldy
also being present.
The minutes of the previous meeting, held on May 6th, 1970 were re-
viewed and placed on file.
The request from Carl Bergmann, Sr., for the creation of a promissory
note to cover the payment of his delinquent 1969 Personal Property tax in the amount of $105.38 was again discussed. Ald. Sapp moved
to deny this request. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried.
Mayor Gottfried reported on the estimated cost of the preparation and
distribution of a periodic newsletter as follows:

Ald. Wollman moved to recommend that the Common Council establish the
procedure of a newsletter, quarterly or as circumstances warrant.
Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motlon carried.
Mayor Gottfried read a notice from the City Clerk, indicating her concern over the possibility of the city assuming the financial
burden of postponed taxes.
A claim from Jefirey Kraft 1:'125 58415 North Cape Rd., and a letter from City Attorney Buckley dated 5-15-70 were reviewed. 51r. Duckley stated
that in his opinion, the City was not liable in this matter. Ald. Wollman moved to deny the Claim. Seconded by Ald. Narlock.
Motion Carried.

:.loenessee property was discussed, and a letter from the City At'tOrnY
Buckley dated 5-4-70 was read. In the letter, Mr. Euckley advises
that under the terms of the contract, the city must give at least two
weeks written notice of demolition, to the previous OWnerS, giving
them an opportunity to remove parts of the buildings or personal
property attxhed as fixtures.
Rld. Narlock moved to recommend that the Common Council publish a

Ald. Wollman moved to recommend to the Common Council the purchase of
a one year Maintenance Agreement with the Addressograph-Multigraph
Corp. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried.
Ald. N21'10ck moved to recommend approval of an Operators License for
Michael Amann, James Ajack and James Janz. Seconded by Ald. V!ollman.
Motion carried.
Ald. Wollman Moved to recommend approval of an Operators License for
Fred Giesigh and Robert Dresen, subject to receipt of a favorable
Fingerprint Report. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried.
Mayor Gottfried advised the commitee that he, City Clerk Bette Bowyer,
Ald. Wollman and Seegar Swanson met recently with a Marine Bank Official
regarding the City Depositories. It was suggested that accounts be
deposited as follows:

Ald. Narlock moved to recommend to the Common Council this distribution
of City funds, as indicated above. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion
carried.
The League of Wisconsin Municipalities Labor Relations Service was
enter into an agreement for a one year period. Seconded by Ald. Wollman.
again discussed. Ald. Sapp moved to recommend that the Common Council

Ald. Narlock moved to recommend Common Council approval of Vouchers
in the amount of $192,389.86. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
Ald. Sapp moved to recommend to the Common Council, approval of a
resolution directing the Treasurer to write-off uncollectable Rescue
Call Charges. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
Ald. Wollman moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 11:05 P.M.
