0 FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 22, 1970
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Gottfried. Also
present were Aldermen Narlock, Wollman, Sapp and Burgermeister.
The first order of business was the selection of secretary of the
Finance Committee. Ald. Wollman moved that Ald. Sapp act in this
capacity. Seconded by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried.
Mayor Gottfried advised the Committee of the Governor's Conference
on Industrial Development being held on May 20th and 21st at Green
Lake, Wisconsin. Ald. Narlock moved that the Mayor and one Alderman
attend this conference at a cost of approxima.tely $15.00 per person.
Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
Discussion was held regarding the sale of out buildings presently
sta.nding on the civic center site. Mayor Gottfried will contact
City Attorney Buckley regarding this matter,

moved that the city purchase a copy of their publication "Summary of

The bonding of City employees was discussed. It was agreed that the
City Clerk should investigate and report back to the Committee. the
difference in the rates of a blanket bond vs. individual bonds.
The presentation given by the Dennison Copier representative at a
previous meeting was discussed. Action was deferred pending the
City Clerk's investigation.
A request from the Library for a petty cash fund was discussed.
Mayor Gottfried will discuss this with them and report back to this
Committee.
Ald. Narlock moved to recommend payment of vouchers in the amount
of $776,501.48. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
Discussion of the Engineering Proposal by Casey Kendziorski, Jr. was
held. Ald. Sapp moved to defer action on this proposal until the
Committee can meet with Mr. Kendziorski at a future meeting. Seconded
by Ald. Narlock. Motion carried.
Mayor Gottfried discussed the feasibility of establishing a newsletter
to be mailed to the citizens of Muskego periodically. He will invest-
igate the cost of same and report at a future meeting.
Ald. Wollman moved to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Ald. Narlock.
Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:47 P.M. ~- - ~
