FCM19690716I FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 'e MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 16, 1969 Mayor Wieselmann called the meeting to order at 7:50 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Budish, DeBack and Narlock. The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as mailed. 1 The following applicants appeared to apply for an Operator's License: Darlene M. Anderson, W175 S7046 Hiawatha Dr. Daniel Blanchard, 5170 S. Oakridge Dr., New Berlin Patricia Guschl, S77 W18324 Janesville Rd. Alfred W. Ramthun, 112 N. James St., Waukesha Claude Sankey, 11130 W. Rawson Ave., Franklin Harold Zdroik, 7660 S. N. Cape Rd., Franklin DeBack moved to recommend approval of the above applicants for an Operator's License subject to the receipt of a favorable fingerprint report, Budish seconded. Motion carried. Mr. and Mrs. William Abels, S102 W19570 Kelsey Dr. appeared as applicants of a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License. Mrs. William Abels. DeBack seconded. Motion carried. Mr. Swanson Jr. of Ehlers & Associates, Inc. reviewed Municipal Financing and some of the problems relating to financing in current markets. Budish moved to recommend approval of Junk Permits for Jack Glockner and James Kohne. Narlock seconded. Motion carried. Narlock moved to recommend approval of a Class "B" License for Mr. and DeBack moved to recommend approval of a "Special"C1ass "B" Retailers License for the Muskego Volunteer Fire Department picnic. Budish seconded. Motion carried. A letter was received from Fred Utpatel, Tess Corners Fire Dept. explaining the purchase of another Rescue Squad. Title of this vehicle to be returned by the City in order to qualify for Federal Funds, Narlock moved to recommend that the City cooperate with the Tess Corners Fire Dept. in making the purchase of another Rescue Squad so that Federal Funds may be obtained to cover 50% of the cost. Budish seconded. Motion carried. A communication from City Attorney John Buckley was read which explained the exempt status of church property when rented for other than church e purposes* .. Budish moved to recommend payment of vouchers in the amount of $42,728.54 DeBack seconded. Motion carried. Budish moved to have a resolution drafted covering current employee Ald. Sapp joined the meeting to review costs involved in leasing the Muskego Community Church property. Budish moved to authorize the City Attorney to negotiate a four or five year lease contract with the owners of the Muskego Community Church. The motion failed to receive a second. Narlock moved to recommend that the Great Lakes Appraisal Corporation be authorized to make an assessment of the Muskego Community Church property. Budish sedonded.
