FCM19690702FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 2, 1969 Acting Mayor Wollman called the meeting to order at 8:15 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Budish and Narlock and City Clerk Bette Bowyer. Applications for Operator's Licenses were made by Katherine Osep, 937 S. 3rd St., Milwaukee and Clyde Coe, W216 S8624 Crowbar Dr., Muskego. Narlock moved to recommend approval of Operator's Licenses for Katherine Osep and Clyde Coe subject to the receipt of favorable fingerprint and medical reports. Budish moved to hold Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License in abeyance for John Smolen, S86 W13988 Priegel Dr. Narlock seconded. Motion carried. e L Applications for Junk Permits were received from Jack Glockner and James Kohne. These were referred to the Zoning Officer, Gerald Lee for review and a report to this Committee. City Clerk Bette Bowyer began a discussion of City employee fringe benefits and the present lack of a formal recorded policy covering many city employees. The most pressing problem concerned the Public Works Dept. Although Supt. Bertram was unable to attend, it was very apparent that city policy should be determined and placed on the records as soon as possible. Budish moved to recommend that Police Dept. Dispatchers should be considered civilian personnel. Narlock seconded. Motion carried. A check of $15,035.67 was received from the State of Wisconsin as the City's portion of telephone taxes. Information describing the communication equipment of a Personal Portable Sound System was received from the Holman Corporation. A list of delinquent tax property in the City of Muskego was received from the County Treasurer of Waukesha. City Clerk Bette Bowyer will request an explanation of an apparent change of county policy covering the handling of such property. A copy of a letter was received from the City Clerk in which the City acknowledged the receipt of a claim that has been filed by the Waukesha Printing Co. for damages to delivery boxes. Budish moved that the holders of Operator's Licenses that have terminated for more than one year will be required to appear at a Finance Committee meeting and have a current fingerprint and medical report prepared and filed. Narlock seconded. Motion carried. Ald. Budish requested that a review should be made of the present policy of medical reports for holders of Operator's Licenses. Aldermen DeBack and Sapp joined the meeting at 9:20 P.M. with Zoning =- -- " ~- " - ~~ L Officer, Gerald Lee. Ald. Sapp reported on the current status of a Muskego Community Church proposal to lease some of their property to the City. Budish moved to have the City Attorney review the proposal of the Muskego Community Church as to the legal problems that may be presented in this transaction particularly as some of this property was donated to the church in the will of the late Lillian Kingston.
