e MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 20, 1968
Mayor Wieselmann called the meeting to order at 9:15 P.M. Also present
were Aldermen 'Budish, DeBack and Narlock.and Police Chief Kraus.
Minutes of previous meeting held November 6, 1968, were approved as mailed.
Roger Wagner, 8786 S. 84th St., Franklin, applied for an Operator's License.
Narlock moved and Budish seconded, to recommend approval of an Operator's
License for Roger Wagner subject to the receipt of a favorable fingerprint
and medical report. Motion carried.
A check of $7,980.00 dated 11/14/68 was received from the U. S. Government
as a Federal Grant for the sewer project.
Budish moved and DeBack seconded a transfer of $5,785.33 from Account
#520-0112, Salaries and Wages, Police Dept. to Account #512-050, Municipal
Retirement Fund. Motion carried.
Police Chief Kraus reviewed a revised 1969 Budget proposal.
Budish moved and DeBack seconded, transfer of $1,283.33 from Unappropriated
Surplus to Acct.# Code #543-012, City Dump.
Narlock moved and DeBack seconded transfer of $2,377.56 from Unappropriated
Surplus to Account #503-013, SEWRPAC-Assessment and Tax Roll.
Narlock moved and DeBack seconded to pay vouchers for sewer construction
in the amount of $169,882.65. Motion carried.
Narlock moved and Budish seconded to pay general vouchers payable in
the amount of $266,614.47. Motion carried.
Budish moved and DeBack seconded to recommend approval of the purchase
of two dozen chairs from Wisconsin School Service at $13.50 each. Motion
carried.
The 1969 proposed budget was reviewed and it was agreed that revisions
should be made that would result in a $1.50 decrease in the tentative
city tax rate of $6.52. A $25,000.00 increase in Item #320, Income Tax
revenue, was agreed as being more realistic. Some decreases in expend-
itures were proposed that would achieve the desired tax levy and it was
decided that the Mayor would review those with the Departments concerned
in order to avoid any serious reduction of services provided by the City
government. The final revised budget would be presented at the next
Council meeting.
Budish moved to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 12:30 A.M.
