FCM19680703FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEG0 0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 3, 1968 Mayor Wieselmann called the meeting to order at 8:15 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Budish and Narlock and Mr. Gottfried. The minutes of the previous meeting held June 19, 1968, were accepted as e mailed and placed on file. Applications for an Operator's License were made by: Stella Erno, S106 W20773 North Shore Dr. Wayne Schwartzman, 372 E. Renier Rd., Waterford Virgil G. Nelson, 10863 S. 60th St., Franklin Narlock moved to recommend a.pprova1 of Operator's License for Stella Erno pending receipt of favorable fingerprint report. Budish seconded, motion carried. Budish moved to defer action on recommendation of voucher approval until July 9, 1968. Voucher list was not available due to an accounting machine breakdown caused by an electrical storm ruining an electric motor. Budish moved to recommend approval of a Transient Merchant's Permit to Kay McKowen for the purpose of a rummage sale by Delta Zeta. Permit fee to be waived. Narlock seconded. Motion carried. Budish moved to refer junk yard permit applications by Jack Glockner and James Kohne to Zoning Officer Lee for site inspection. Narlock seconded. Motion carried. A communication was received from City Attorney John Buckley covering a Supplementary Agreement with Mr. Vesbach. Action was deferred pending a review of previous transactions by the City Attorney. Financing of asphalt paving at the Police Dept. site was reviewed. It was agreed that the Committee would recommend approval of the necessary fund transfer at the time a bid was approved. Bids for supplying bulk premium gas to the Police Dept. were received with the following results: Mobile Oil Corporation - net 21.5 cents per gal. E. J. Salentine - net 20.6 cents per gal. Home Town - net 19.5 cents per gal. Johnny's Petroleum Products - net 16.15 cents per gal. DX Bud Spaight - net 18.94 cents per gal. The bids covered a 3-month period and excluded State and Federal Tax. Narlock moved to recommend acceptance of the low bid from Johnny's Petroleum Products at a price of 16.15 cents per gal. Budish seconded, motion carried. 0 Aldermen Burgermelster, Linck and Cooley joined the meeting at this point with Chief of Police Kraus and City Attorney John Buckley. A communication was received from the Library Board covering proposed salary changes that may become necessary as a. result of the resignation of the Head Librarian effective July 15, 1968. It was agreed that an amendment to the Salary Ordinance would be recommended so that Mrs. Leicht- fuss could proceed with necessary negotiations -immediately.- - A communication from Attorney Clayton Kramer, representing Mr. Wauer, was received. The letter indicated that the present city dump contract would not be extended. a A general discussion following covering city dump problems and Mr. Wauer's 0 new proposals. The comunication from Mr. Ripley was referred to City Attorney John Buckley. Budish moved to recommend approval of a request by Chief of Police Kraus that the City of Muskego enter into a Radio Equipment Maintenance Contract with Motorola Communications and Electronics, Inc. for a monthly fee of $130.70.
