FCM19680606FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 6, 1968 Mayor Wieselmann called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M. Also present were Aldermen Budish, DeBack and Narlock. The Minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as received. Budish moved to recommend payment of vouchers in the amount of $18,586.85 for the period ending 6/11/68. DeBack seconded, motion carried. 0 harles R. Stein, 14021 W. Dakota St., New Berlin, applied for an Operator's Michael Tobianski, W140 S8013 Schultz Lane applied for an Operator's License. A Radio Equipment Maintenance Contract proposal submitted by Chief of Police Kruas was reviewed. DeBack moved to recommend Operator's License for Charles R. Stein, Narlock seconded. Motion carried. Budish moved to recommend Operator's License for Michael Tobianski subject to receipt of favorable fingerprint and medical report. Narlock seconded. Motion carried. An audit by State of Wis. Bureau of Municipal Audit for year 1968 was discussed A No Check Payroll Plan of the First National Bank of Waukesha was reviewed. Depository Accounts at Banks in the City of Muskego was discussed. @Aldermen Wollman and Burgermeister, Clerk Bowyer, Zoning Officer Lee, Chief Kraus, City Attorney Buckley and Mr. Gottfried joined the meeting. Wollman presented proposals by Carl Wauer for a new City Dumping Contract. The proposals were reviewed. Wollman reviewed problems and complaints at City owned property on Little Muskego Lake. There was a general discussion of possible solutions. City Clerk Bette Bowyer presented proposals to remodel and change the present City Hall offices in order to utilize sapce more efficiently and to have a more effective flow of traffic. An inspection of the situation and a dis- cussion of the proposals and changes then followed. Chief of Police Kraus reviewed his proposal of a Radio Equipment Maintenance Contract. Emphasis was placed on the avoiding of large repair bills by pre- ventive maintenance. Zoning Officer Lee discussed salary problems covering the Assistant Inspector and a Plumbing Inspector that will be required with the installation of sewer laterals. The police vehicle contract with Wisconsin Car Rental, Inc. of Muskego was reviewed by City Attorney Buckley. A review was made by City Attorney Buckley of the regulations covering the Idle Isle. Narlock moved to recommend that the Finance Committee be authorized to retain an appraisor for the purpose of determing the Fair Market value of Idle Isle. Seconded by Budish. Motion carried. @f City Hall office space at a cost not to exceed $300.00. DeBack seconded. udi3hmoved to authorize City-Clerk Bette Bowyer to proceed with remodeling .Open Space Land Program which would be involved in the possible purchase of Motion carried.
