0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 17, 1968
Mayor Wieselmann called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M. Present were
Alderman Budish, Alderman Narlock and Police Chief Kraus.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read. Alderman Budish moved to
accept the minutes as presented. Seconded by Mayor Wieselmann, motion
carried.
@Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Schaack appeared at the meeting to present their
applications for an Operator's License for the tavern "Hunter's Nest".
A communication from the legal firm of "Buer and Murrage" was received.
The letter offered to continue their services as special city counsel
investigating personal income tax allocations by the State of Wisconsin.
Alderman Budish moved to recommend that the Council approve a resolution
accepting this service under present contract terms. Seconded by Alderman
Narlock. Motion carried.
Mayor Wieselmann presented the revised accounting system as it was pre-
pared by City Clerk Bette Bowyer. Alderman Narlock moved for the approval
of this revision. Seconded by Alderman Budish. Motion carried.
A long distance phone call was received from Alderman Cooley who was 0. unable to attend this meeting personally, as a representative of the
Muskego Reassessment Committee. A formal request was made that this
Committee recommend that the Council determine a date for a public
hearing to consider a property reassessment of the City of Muskego.
Alderman Budish moved to recommend that the City Council set a date for
this public hearing. Seconded by Alderman Narlock. Motion carried.
Police Department site improvement was reviewed. A recommendation was
made that the Public Works Department begin the grading and filling a
portion of this project.
A license for the Schultz Rifle Shooting Range was discussed. It was
recommended that the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee hear Alderman
Wollman and all interested citizens at their next Committee meeting
for a review of this situation.
The contract with Johnny's Petroleum Service providing gasoline to the
Police Deparment is due to expire this month..In order to have more time
to investigate other means of providing this senrice by mutual consent, it
was agreed that this contract could be extended for 30 days. Alderman
Narlock moved to recommend that the City Council extend this contract
for 30 days under the same terms. Seconded by Alderman Budish. Motion
carried.
A proposal to purchase a breathalyzer for the Police Department was
deferred for further consideration.
Alderman Budish.moved to deny a Safety Committee recommendation to purchase
diving equipment for the Police Department. Seconded by Alderman Narlock.

Alderman Budish moved to recommend that an Operator's License be granted
to Dean and Margaret Oschmann. Seconded by Alderman Narlock. Motion
carried.
A motion to recommend payment of vouchers in the amount of $176,821.95
Narlock. Motion carried.

A communication from Attorney Hippenmeyer covering routine business
was received and placed on file.
Alderman Narlock moved to recommend the approval of the Muskego
Professional Policemen's Association as the collective barrraininrr
unit of the Police Department. Seconded by Alderman Budish. Motion -
carried.
It was moved by Alderman Narlock to recommend approval of the sale
of the old Thermofax machine and purchase of an office cabinet as
part of a complex business transaction by City Clerk Bette Bowyer.
Seconded by Alderman Budish. Motion carried.
Alderman Narlock moved to adjourn. Seconded by Alderman Budish.
Motion carried.
