The regular meeting of the Finance Committee was called to order at 7:30
P.M. by Mayor Gottfried.
Present were Mayor Gottfried, Alderman Joost, Alderman Linck and Police
Chief Kraus.
The minutes of the December 6, 1967, meeting were read and approved.
The short-term purchase agreement with Wisconsin Car Rental was
discussed. Alderman Joost moved to recommend approval of the 90-day
purchase agreement with Wis. Car Rental with changes recommended by
the City Attorney and Police Chief Kraus. Seconded by Alderman Linck,
motion carried.
Alderman Joost moved to recommend $300.00 be transferred from Acct.
11907 to Acct. #914 after clarification of the request by the Library
Board. Seconded by Alderman Linck, motion carried.
Alderman Linck moved to allow the City Treasurer to use $500.00 of the
of the City's General Fund for the purpose of making change during
tax collection time, money to be returned to General Fund at the end
of tax collection period. Seconded by Alderman Joost, motion carried.
Alderman Linck moved to recommend that the bid of $1,258.00 from
Bohrers be accepted for the installation of a new heating and air
conditioning unit for the police station. Seconded by Alderman
Joost, motion carried.
The Park & Recreation Board have requested the transfer of remaining
funds in Acct. 11943 Improvement and Acct. 11944, Land Acquisition,
to the similar category for 1968.
Alderman Joost moved to recommend the transfer of the following funds
to the Reserve Account.
Highway Equipment, Acct. #868
Major Road Improvement, Acct. $1814
Garage Building, Acct. 11847
Drainage, Acct. f818 '2
Land Improvement, Acct. $1943
Land Acquisition, Acct. 11944
Motion seconded by Alderman Linck, motion carried.

Alderman Linck moved to recommend the City Clerk be authorized to
advertise for bids for gasoline for the Police Department as requested
by Police Chief Kraus. Seconded by Alderman Joost, motion carried.
Alderman Joost moved to adjourn, seconded by Alderman Linck, motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 1O:OO P.M.
