FCM19670906FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 6, 1967 The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Alderman Budish. Present were Alderman Budish, Alderman Joost, Alderman Linck and Police Chief Kraus. The Minutes of the meeting held on August 16, 1967, were read and approved. Mr. Walter Salentine, Circle Dr., Muskego, applied for an Operator's License. Mr. Frank Ademite of Sentry Insurance Company met with the Committee to discuss the City's insurance problems. The bids for two new squad cars were received as follows: E. J. Salentine 0 1968 Buick 360 H.P. - Police Enforcer $ 2,853.00 1968 Pontiac Catalina, 340 H.P. 2,583.95 Holz Motors 1968 Chevrolet Biscayne, 325 H.P. 2,623.46 With 385 H.P. motor $ 114.00 additional Doering Motors 1968 Dodge Polara, 350 H.P. 1968 Dodge Coronet, 325 H.P. 2,925.00 2,658.00 The bid price on most of the above cars was figured at 1967 price levels and the price difference from the factory would be added to the above prices, therefore, it was agreed to wait and make a recommendation when firm prices are received. Alderman Linck moved to pay vouchers in the amount of $32,446.77, payable September 12, 1967, seconded by Alderman Joost. Motion carried. Alderman Budish moved to accept the bid of Motorola Company for the central communications system. Seconded by Alderman Linck, motion carried. The purchase of gas and oil for the police vehicles on a bid basis Alderman Joost moved to recommend an Operator's License be issued to Walter Salentine, seconded by Alderman Linck, motion carried. Alderman Joost moved to issue Junk Licenses for James Kohne, seconded by Alderman Budish, motion carried. was discussed. e Alderman-Linck moved to issue- Junk- License to-John Grockner; seconded-~ ~~ ~~ - by Alderman Budish, motion carried. Street lighting was discussed. It was agreed to determine the cost of the entire project before a recommendation is submitted.
