FCM19670816FINANCE COMMITTEE - MINUTES OF MEETING HELD August 16, 1967
The meeting was called to order at 8:OO P.M., by Mayor Gottfried.
Present were Mayor Gottfried, Ald. Budish, Ald. Joost, Ald. Linck
and Police Chief Kraus.
The minutes of the meeting held August 2, 1967 were read and
approved.
Mr. Ralph Haas of 3752 W. Greenfield Ave., Milwaukee, appeared
before the committee and applied for an Operators License.
Ald. Joost moved to recommend approval of an Operators License
for Ralph Haas, seconded by Ald. Budish and motion carried.
Mr. Frank Adamite of Sentry Insurance Company will meet with the
committee on Sept. 6, 1967 to discuss the city's insurance program.
The City Treasurer received a check in the amount of $8,712.85
from the State of Wisconsin as the city's share of the liquor tax.
Ald. Budish made a motion to recommend acceptance of the bid of
$2,883.48 from E. J. Salentine for a 1967 4-door Buick to be used
as a squad car, motion seconded by Ald. Linck and motion carried.
Ald. Budish moved to recommend payment of $15,000.00 as part of
the initial payment to Donald DeBack Construction for the Woods
Road Project, motion seconded by Ald. Joost and motion carried.
Mr. James Vukoviah of 3582 S. 96th St., Milwaukee, applied for an
Operators License.
Ald. Linck moved to recommend approval of the 1967 Police Dept.
Budget, as presented by Chief Kraus, motion seconded by Ald
Budish and motion carried. The 1967 Budget for the department
did not reflect the exact expenditures anticipated for each
presented to the committee a more refined breakdown of that budget.

properties are being appraised.

Ald. Joost made a motion to recommend transfer of $5,766.49 from
motion seconded by Ald. Budish and motion carried.
Ald. Joost moved to adjourn the meeting at 10?30 P.M., motion
seconded by Ald. Linck and meeting was adjourned.
