FCM19651222FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO 0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 22, 1965 The meeting was called to order at 7:35 P.M. by Mayor Gottfried with Aldermen Budish and Wolf in attendance. Minut.es of the previous meeting were read and approved, after Alderman Budish noted a correction in spelling in the name of Byron Whiting to Myron Whitney. Harriet Greene, 817 Michigan Avenue, Waukesha, Wisconsin, appeared before the Committee in application of Owners-Operators License for the Corner House Tavern which is at the corner of Highway Y and Janes- ville Rd. The tavern is currently being operated by Mr. Schofer. Miss Greene is age 25 and single and is currently a Nurses Aid at Waukesha Memcrial Hospital. She is a sister of Charles Greene who previously made application to the City for the same type of license. She has had no experience in the operation of a tavern and her brother, Charles, will be the cook at the restaurant and will live on the premises. No action was taken on this application since the fingerprint report had not been received. Edward Stabo, ST2 W19350 Richdorf Dr., appeared in application for Operator's License for the. tavern now known as Rosie and Rags and which is located on Highway V and Richdorf Drive. Mr. Stabo ind~icated that he was self employed as a cement contractor and is age 39, married and has two children. The fingerprint report has now been received and in view of the information contained therein Alderman Wolf moved that the application for a license to bartend be denied David Kaczmarczyk. This motion was seconded by Ald. Budish and it carried. The Vouchers payable to December 28, 1965, were reviewed. These Vouchers totalled $6,093.86. Ald. Budish moved to recommend approval for payment of $6,093.86. This was seconded by Ald. Wolf and the motion carried. Correspondence from the Library Board was read. This correspondence indicated that there was sufficient amount of monies in the Library Budget to take care of the needs until the first of the year, but surplus in certain accounts needed to be transferred to other accounts in order to balance the books. Ald. Wclf moved that it be recommended to the Common Council that the Library Funds be transferred as recommend- ed~ by the Library Board. Ald. Budish seconded the motion and the motion carried. Mayor Gottfried presented, for the Finance Committee's approval to various accounts from the General Fund. Upon completion of a dis- cussion rslative to the matter, Ald. Budish moved to recommend to the Common Council the approval of Re,?olution #109. Ald. Wolf seconded the motion and the motion carried. Maoor Gottfried indicated that two sizable returns have been made to received from the State of Wisconsin for the City's share of Auto License Fees. Further, an amount of $46,096.27 was received for the 0 tavern in Milwaukee for a period of 18 months. He indicated that he had 0 Resolution #lo9 which calls for the transfer of funds totallfng $33,576.17 ---- - the 625. on~-about-T?ecember--l-~~, -19& -Am.-amount o-fl~$?O-,376,55--wa~- - Utility company taxes. Ald. Wolf noted that either an error in calculation or a typographical error had been made in Ordinance $27 on the salary shown for the Clerk- Treasurer. The salary shown would total $7100.00 when $h5OO.OC had for an amendment to this Ordinance will be made at the next Council Meeting. There being no further business, Ald.
