FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES OF kEBTING HELD AUGUST 18, 1965
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Qottfried at 7:lO P.M.
PRESENT: Aldermen Budish, Bostater & Wolf
Mr. William Verzal1,of the auditing firm that audited the books of
the City of Nuskego, attended the meeting to explain various factors
about the monthly accounting statements and our current bookkeeping
set-up. He said that he felt that the data processing of our
account has been very good.
Grover Castine of W179 57672 Racine Ave. appeared before the Committee
in request for a Bakt.enderU.5 License. He indicated that he was 23
between September, 1964, and April, 1965, and presently would like to
years of age and marrled. He tended bar in the Village of Pewaukee
tend bar at his in-law's tavern which is Matt and Kittie's.
Alderman Wolf moved 60 recommend to the Council that the application
of this person be accepted on satisfactory submission of fingerprint
report and medical report. Aldeman Budish seconded the motion and

An application from the Jewel Crest Advancement Association for a
1965, was presented. Alderman Budish moved to recommend to the
Bostater and the motion carried.
Council that this license be granted. This was seconded by Alderman
Vouchers totaling'$11,483.07 were presented to this Committee. Upon
thorough review of these vouchers, Alderman Wolf moved to recommend
that the Council approve the vouchers for payment. This was seconded
by Aldeman Bostater and the motion carried.
A discussion took place relative to again placing monies in Bank
Certificates or Treasury Notes. It is expected that a very substantial
amount will be received in the latter part of August or the first part
of September from the State for supplemental road aids. Further,
$25,000 that is currently In a Treasury Note will mature on or about
Sept. 1st. Alderman Wolf suggested that the Clerk-Treasurer place
$50,000 in a 90 day Bank Certificate if this check should be received
before the next Finance Committee meeting at which time a more thorough
review can be made of the amount to be invested.
The Chairman presented to the Committee a resolution numbered 84. The
title of the resolution is "Authorization of Clerk-Treasurer to Invest
Funds". After a stud~y of this resolution, Alderman Budish moved to
recommend to the Council that Resolution X84 be accepted. Alderman
Bostater seconded the motion and the motion was carried.
Resolution #85 was then presented to the Committee. This is the truck
bid. Alderman Budish moved to recommend acceptance of the Public
Works Committee recommendation for purchase of a 1966 Ford Pickup
Truck at a cost of $2832.54 from Hiller Ford, Inc., and that an amount of $1344.29 be transferred from the General Fund to the Highway Equip-
ment account to cover this purchase. Alderman Bostater seconded the
motion and the motion carried. .. ..
Chairman Qottfried brought up the subject of the Constable's use of
Warning Tickets and the fact that the old ticket that we had is out-
moded. The Committee reviewed a ticket that the Waukesha CounQSheriffts
Dept. uses and one that the Hales Corners Police Dept. uses. Both of
