Approval had previously been given for renewal of the tavern license
Hiway 24 and Racine Ave. owned by Mr. & Mrs. Harry Lewandowski.
of Mr. and Mrs. Lunn for the tavern on the southwest corner of
Subsequently, an application was filed by Mary Franta for the opera- @ tion of the same tavern. This application was held up until it
was determined that the Lunns did not intend to pick up their
license for continued operation of the tavern.
Alderman Budish moved, as seconded by Alderman Bostater, that the
Committee recommend the granting of a Class B Fermented Malt Beverage
and Class B Intoxicating Liquor license to Mary Franta for operation
of the tavern at W180 ST649 Racine Ave. Motion carried.
Underwood at a net cost of $270 was not satisfactory. The IBM at
Quotatiomon a new typewriter were discussed. It was felt that the
$405 was believed enough superior to the Royal at $375 to justify
the slight extra cost.
Alderman Bostater moved, as secondea by Alderman Budish, for the
approval of purchase of an IBM typewriter with long carriage. 0 Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 8:25 P. M.
