Chairman Gottfried read a memorandum he received from the City Clerk
relative to the salary of Mrs. Jean Sanders. The message indicated
that, although Hrs. Sanders had been with us for only about six
weeks or so, her work has been most satisfactory and she has even
gone to the extent of putting overtime without consideration of re-
muneration. Under her term of hire consideration for an increase
was to be considered after about six months of employment. The
clerk, however, felt that in view of the rapid grasp of the duties
of deputy clerk by Mrs. Sanders, consideration should be given to
increasing her to the $.:r;200.00 maximum from the $3800.00 that
she started with. This committee agreed that some consideration
should be given, and, therefore, Alderman Budish moved to recommend
to~he Common Council an increase ~f $200.00, thereby increasing the
salary to $4,000.00, as of July 1st, 1965. Alderman Bostater seconded
the motion and the motion carried.
