of the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission relative 0 to a regional planning conference which is to be held on May 12, 1965, at the Red Carpet Inn. Chairman Gottfried stated that he
would like to attend said conference and would also like to have
one member of the Planning Commission accompany him to the conference.

to grant the V. F. W. Post 8171 permission to solicit the sale of
"Buddy Poppies" on May 21st and 22nd, 1965. This was seconded by
Alderman Budish and the motion carried.
A copy of a letter written by Mayor Gottfried to Mr. Dale Dawson,
relative to his permit to operate a portable asphalt plant and which
will expire on Julyl9th, 1965, was read.
A letter dated April 12th, 1965, from Nelson & Assoc. relative to
a small scale zoning and ward map was read. Mayor Gottfried indicated
that he had discussed the matter further with the City Engineers
but as yet had not received a reply. This matter was tabled until
such time as correspondence is received from the City Engineer.
This Committee then reviewed a piece of correspondence from the City
Clerk relative to Municipal Justice form or forms. The form attached
to the correspondence was a summons which was altered to fit the needs
for completion. It is then requested of the Municipal Justice to
of the City. This form will be referred back to the Municipal Justice
refer this to the City Attorney to see that the legal context is
correct.
Erwin Arndt appeared before this Committee. Mr. Theodore Bronson
has given up his tavern on Janesvi lle Road and Mr. Arndt has
proposed to ~taKe it over. Therefore, he is applying for an Operator's
License. Mr. Arndt indicated to this Committee that he had never been
going to live at these premises along with his family. The notice of
guilty of any violations other than minor traffic violations. He is
his application has been posted in the newspaper and is returnable on
or about May 10th. Alderman Wolf moved that recommendation be given

to the Common Council that said license be issued to Mr. Erwin Arndt.
A cost of police badges was again reviewed by this Committee. In
view of the fact that it was not known as to how many badges are
involved, and what type of badge had been approved by the SBfety

situation and advise what is to be purchased. So far as this
had actually been appointed.
Bias for an official newspaper were reviewed and since it had not
bids in the current official newspaper which is the Tri-Town News.
Mayor Gottfried brought up the subject relative to our check-writing
machin? and the necessary facsimile plate. This is necessary in view
of the fact that the Treasurer's post is now held by the City Clerk
and the Clerk has been changed. It was the concensus of this Committee
that a new plate should be immediately ordered so as to facilitate the
proper writing of checks.
Vouchers totaling $10,448.24 were presented to the Committee. Upon
thorough review of the vouchers, Alderman Budish made a motion to
recommend payment of these vouchers to the Common Council. This was
seconded by Alderman Bostater and the motion was confirmed.
May or Gottfried brought up the subject of the Planning Commission's
been advertised, no action was taken. The Clerk will advertise for
need for a map that gives Muskego's area specifically along with an

could purchase this item.
The Committee then reviewed the renewal licenses for Class A and B
Fermented Malt Beverages and Intoxicating Liquor that have been
submitted for renewal effective July lst, 1965. Alderman Wolf moved
that all of the applications submitted by applicants indicated on the
attached list be approved. This was seconded by Alderman Budish and
the motion carried.
Alderman Wolf moved that the application of Richard Killa for a Class
A license be disapproved. This was seconded by Alderman Budish. The
discussion that followed indicated that the reason for disapproval is
that Mr. Killa operates the recreational island on Little Muskego Lake
wherein is a picnic grounds, bathing beach and launching area that is
surrounded by a residentail area. It was felt that this is no p. lace
for a beer or fermented malt license. The motion carried.
An application for a liquor store in the proposed Parkland Plaza
shopping center has been submitted by John M..Coufure. Motion was
made by Alderman Wolf that this application be disapproved. This
was seconded by Alderman Budish. Discussion indicated that there
is currently an ordinance allowing only four liquor stores and if 0 another were allowed, the ordinance would have to be changed. Secondly,
this seemed to be a bit premature and thirdly, this application is
made by developer of the shopping center ard much more information
would be needed before 'any consideration would be given this matter.
Alderman Wolf moved for adjournment, which was seconded by Alderman
Bostater. Meeting was adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
