COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved: 10/26/2010
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 12, 2010
Mayor Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:42 p.m. Present were Ald. Fiedler,
Schaumberg, Werner, Borgman and Harenda, and Deputy Clerk Blenski. Ald. Soltysiak
and Snead were absent. Those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance. The Deputy
stated that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the open meeting law on Friday,
October 8.
COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR’S OFFICE
Mayor Johnson had several Proclamations that were read. October 16, 2010 was
proclaimed “Evan Coubal Day.” The VFW will sell Buddy Poppies on October 29 and
30. May 14, 2011 was proclaimed “International Migratory Bird Day.” The Muskego

Public Library is celebrating is 50 year.
CONSENT AGENDA
Ald. Borgman moved to approve the items under the Consent Agenda. Ald.
Harenda seconded. Motion carried 5 in favor.
The following items were approved:
Operator’s License for Katie Musurlian
Reso. #105-2010 - Approval of Certified Survey Map - Paul and Kathleen Oman
Reso. #106-2010 - Approval of Certified Survey Map - Urban Visions II
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Ord. #1332 - An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Map of the City of Muskego (Willow
Glen - RM-1 and RS-2 to PD). Second Reading. Ald. Harenda moved for adoption.
Ald. Borgman seconded. Ald. Borgman moved to defer because the Plan
Commission has not made a recommendation yet. Ald. Fiedler seconded; motion
carried.
REVIEW OF COMMITTEE REPORTS
The following minutes were reviewed: 9/7/2010 Plan Commission and 9/1/2010 Public
Safety Committee.
FIRST READING OF ORDINANCE
Ord. #1334 - An Ordinance to Create Regulations to Ensure Compliance with
Administrative Regulations of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for
Private Water Supply Wells in the City of Muskego
VOUCHER APPROVAL
Ald. Fiedler moved for approval of payment of Utility Vouchers in the amount of
$87,525.89. Ald. Werner seconded. Motion carried 5 in favor.

Ald. Fiedler moved for approval of payment of General Vouchers in the amount of
$809,405.92. Ald. Werner seconded. Motion carried 5 in favor.
CITY OFFICIALS’ REPORT
The Deputy Clerk noted the extended hours that City Hall will be open for the November
election. Ald. Fiedler noted that the Public Works Committee would meet on Monday,
October 18 at 6:00; discussion will continue regarding how to remedy the areas in the
City that have experienced flooding.
The Council did not convene into closed session, as the attorney could not be present.

Ald. Harenda moved to adjourn at 6:54 p.m. Ald. Fiedler seconded; motion
carried.
