COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved: 02/23/2010
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 9, 2010
The meeting was called to order at 7:37 p.m. by Mayor Johnson. Present were Ald.
Fiedler, Schaumberg, Schneider, Werner, Borgman, and Harenda, and Deputy Clerk
Blenski. Ald. Snead was absent. The Clerk stated that the meeting was noticed in
accordance with the open meeting law on February 5, 2010.
There were no communications from the Mayor.
PUBLIC HEARING
The Clerk read the public hearing notice to consider the petition of Avid and Linda Haita
to rezone property known as Tax Key Numbers 2277.996.003 and 2277.996.004 (S98
W21184 Parker Drive and adjoining vacant lot to the east) from EA - Exclusive
Agricultural District to A-1 - Agricultural District for the purpose of a future land division.
The Mayor stated that the Plan Commission would review the petition at its next
meeting. No one requested to be heard on this matter. The Mayor declared the
hearing closed.
CONSENT AGENDA
Ald. Fiedler moved to approve the items under the Consent Agenda. Ald.
Schneider seconded. Motion carried 6 in favor.
The following items were approved:

REVIEW OF COMMITTEE REPORTS
The following minutes were reviewed: 1/13/2010 Finance Committee and 1/6/2010
Public Utilities Committee.
NEW BUSINESS
Reso. #014-2010 - Resolution of Necessity - Lemke. Fiedler moved for adoption.
Borgman seconded. Ald. Fiedler stated that the resolution was necessary to begin the
process for the City to purchase the property. The Mayor noted that it was not the City’s
intention to condemn the property. Motion carried 6 in favor.
Reso. #015-2010 - Resolution of Necessity - Dumke. The Mayor said this item was
being removed and would be discussed at the next Committee of the Whole meeting.
Ord. #1313 - An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Map of the City of Muskego (Haita -
EA to A-1). First Reading.

LICENSE APPROVAL
Ald. Borgman moved to approve a Temporary License for the Sale of Wine for
Atonement Lutheran Church Senior League for 2/13/2010. Ald. Fiedler seconded.
Werner stated he would abstain. Motion carried 5 in favor.
Ald. Schneider moved to approve a Temporary License for the Sale of Wine and
Fermented Malt Beverages for St. Leonard Home & School for 3/13/2010. Werner
seconded. Motion carried 6 in favor.
Ald. Werner moved to amend the licensed premise for Marx Pioneer Inn to include
Tax Key #2196.980 subject to the conditions specified by the Finance Committee
on 2/9/2010. Ald. Fiedler seconded. Motion carried 6 in favor.
VOUCHER APPROVAL
Ald. Fiedler moved for approval of payment of Utility Vouchers in the amount of
$191,389.55. Ald. Harenda seconded. Motion carried 6 in favor.
Ald. Fiedler moved for approval of payment of General Vouchers in the amount of
$721,243.35. Ald. Harenda seconded. Motion carried 6 in favor.
Ald. Fiedler moved for approval of payment of Tax Checks in the amount of
$12,118.25. Ald. Harenda seconded. Motion carried 6 in favor.
ADJOURNMENT
Ald. Fiedler moved to adjourn at 7:55 p.m. Ald. Werner seconded; motion carried.
