MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 26, 2010
The meeting was called to order at 7:41 p.m. by Mayor Johnson. Present were Ald.
Schaumberg, Werner, Borgman, Harenda and Snead, Deputy Clerk Blenski, and City
Attorney Larson. Ald. Schneider and Fiedler were absent. The Clerk stated that the
meeting was noticed in accordance with the open meeting law.
COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR’S OFFICE
Reso. #007-2010 - Recognition of 25 Years of Service - John W. Walejewski - Muskego
Police Department. Ald. Borgman moved for adoption. Ald. Werner seconded;
motion carried. The Mayor presented the resolution to Officer Walejewski.
CONSENT AGENDA
Mayor Johnson noted that Reso. #011-2010 (Resolution to Adopt a Revised Employee
Discipline Policy.) was being removed. Ald. Borgman moved to approve the
remaining items under the Consent Agenda. Ald. Harenda seconded. Motion
carried 5 in favor.
The following items were approved:
Operators’ Licenses for Daniel Adamak, Heather Adams, Jared Anderson, Kaitlinn

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Ord. #1309 - An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 12, Section 12.16 (4), of the Municipal
Code of the City of Muskego (Swimming Pools - Location). Second Reading. Ald.
Borgman moved for adoption. Ald. Werner seconded. Motion carried 5 in favor.

Ord. #1310 - An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 14 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Muskego (Floodplain Zoning Ordinance). Second Reading. Ald. Borgman moved for
adoption. Ald. Werner seconded. Motion carried 5 in favor.
Ord. #1311 - An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Muskego (Zoning Ordinance). Second Reading. Ald. Werner moved for adoption.
Ald. Borgman seconded. Motion carried 5 in favor.
Ord. #1312 - An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 30 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Muskego (Building Code). Second Reading. Ald. Borgman moved for adoption.
Ald. Schaumberg seconded. Motion carried 5 in favor.
LICENSE APPROVAL
The Mayor noted that the license for Atonement Lutheran Church would be removed.
Ald. Borgman moved to approve a Temporary License for the Sale of Fermented
Malt Beverages and Wine for Special Olympics Wisconsin for the Muskego Polar
Plunge event to be held on 1/31/2010. Ald. Werner seconded; motion carried.
VOUCHER APPROVAL
Ald. Snead moved for approval of payment of General Vouchers in the amount of
$428,948.59. Ald. Werner seconded. Motion carried 5 in favor.
Ald. Snead moved for approval of payment of Utility Vouchers in the amount of
$344,372.65. Ald. Werner seconded. Motion carried 5 in favor.
Ald. Snead moved for approval of payment of Tax Checks in the amount of
$150,819.82. Ald. Werner seconded. Motion carried 5 in favor.
CITY OFFICIALS REPORTS
The February calendar was reviewed.
CLOSED SESSION
Ald. Borgman moved to convene into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats.
§19.85(1)(g) Conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is
rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body
with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved, more
specifically Lemke vs. City of Muskego. Ald. Werner seconded. Motion carried 5
in favor. The Deputy Clerk was dismissed.
OPEN SESSION
Ald. Borgman moved to reconvene into open session. Ald. Werner seconded;
motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Ald. Snead moved to adjourn at 8:20 p.m. Ald. Harenda seconded; motion
carried.
