The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. by Mayor Slocomb. Also present were
Ald. Schroeder, Melcher, Salentine, Borgman, Buckmaster and Patterson, and Deputy
Clerk Blenski. Ald. Madden was excused.
Those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance. The Deputy Clerk noted that the
meeting was noticed in accordance with the open meeting law.
NEW BUSINESS
Comments were made by Mark Slocomb as outgoing Mayor. He stated it was an honor
to have served the community for the past eight years. He wished Mr. Damaske well.
Circuit Court Judge Robert Mawdsley administered the oath of office to:
Charles Damaske Mayor
Chris Buckmaster Alderperson District 2
Nancy Salentine Alderperson District 4
Eric Schroeder Alderperson District 6
A Certificate of Election was given to each newly elected official.
Mayor Damaske took his position at the Council table.
Judge Mawdsley congratulated the officials on their election to office.
Aldermen Buckmaster, Schroeder, Salentine and Mayor Damaske presented their
comments as newly-elected officials.
Reso. #070-2005 – Expressing Appreciation to Mark Slocomb. Salentine moved for
adoption. Patterson seconded. Motion carried 6-0. The resolution was presented to
Mr. Slocomb.
Reso. #071-2004 – Designating Public Depositories and Authorizing Withdrawal of City
of Muskego Monies. Buckmaster moved for adoption. Salentine seconded. Motion
carried 6-0.
ELECTION OF COUNCIL PRESIDENT
Ald. Salentine stated it has been an honor to serve as Council President during the
past year but asked not to be nominated this year for personal reasons.
(A simple majority vote is needed and ballots do not need to be initialed.)

On the nominating ballot, the following nominations were made:
Alderman Patterson
Alderman Melcher
Alderman Schroeder
On the first election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Alderman Melcher 3
Alderman Schroeder 3
On the second election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Alderman Melcher 3
Alderman Schroeder 3
On the third election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Alderman Melcher 4
Alderman Schroeder 3 2*
Alderman Melcher was elected President of the Common Council.
ELECTION OF COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE TO THE PLAN COMMISSION
On the nominating ballot, the following nominations were made:
Alderman Patterson
Alderman Buckmaster
Clarification was requested regarding the number of votes needed. The Deputy Clerk
noted an opinion from Atty. Molter (dated 4/14/2005) indicated that the required vote
was 2/3 of a quorum. With six members present, four votes were required.
On the first election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Alderman Patterson 2
Alderman Buckmaster 4
The ballots were not initialed and a second election ballot was cast.
On the second election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Alderman Patterson 2
Alderman Buckmaster 4
Alderman Buckmaster was elected to serve as Council Representative to the Plan
Commission.

It was noted that if possible the Alderman should live in the District, a majority vote is
required and ballots must be initialed.
On the nominating ballot, the following nominations were made:
Alderman Borgman
On the first election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Alderman Borgman 6
Alderman Borgman was elected to serve as Council representative to the Little
Muskego Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District.
Ald. Buckmaster moved to adjourn at 7:34 p.m. Ald. Salentine seconded; motion
carried.
