CCM20050329sp COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD MARCH 29, 2005 The meeting was called to order at 5:20 PM by Mayor Slocomb. Also present were Ald. Salentine, Borgman, Madden, Patterson and Schroeder, Engineering/Building Inspection Director McMullen and Deputy Clerk Blenski. Those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance. The Deputy stated the meeting was noticed in accordance with the open meeting law on 3/25/2005. NEW BUSINESS Reso. #063-2005 - Rejection of Apollo Development LLC Offer to Sell Property in the Muskego Industrial Park. Salentine moved for adoption. Madden seconded. Mr. McMullen stated the property is approximately 3.2 acres in size and is one of the last vacant parcels in the Industrial Park. Apollo Development intends to sell the property to G & G Trucking. However, the existing Rules and Regulations for the Industrial Park state the property must be offered to the City first. Mr. McMullen stated that it is not feasible for the City to acquire the property. No public improvement is necessary and there is no park or open space benefit. Mayor Slocomb noted that a resolution would be brought before a future Council to address the right of first refusal issue. Motion carried 5-0. Mr. McMullen was dismissed. Reso. #064-2005 - Resolution to Retain Special Prosecutor. Salentine moved for adoption. Patterson seconded. Motion carried 5-0. Reso. #065-2005 - Approval of 2005 - 2006 Lawn Mowing Agreement. Madden moved for adoption. Salentine seconded. Mayor Slocomb stated the contractor selected (Bluemel’s) to perform the lawn mowing services has backed out. It is proposed that the City enter into an Agreement with F & W Landscape Specialists for this service. The quote submitted by F & W is still under the amount budgeted. F & W has performed lawn-mowing services for the City since the late ‘90s. Motion carried 5-0. Borgman moved to adjourn at 5:29 PM. Patterson seconded; motion carried.
