COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING HELD APRIL 17, 2001
Approved: April 24, 2001
The meeting was called to order at 7:06 p.m. by Mayor De Angelis. Also present were
Aldermen Slocomb, Petfalski, Le Doux, Patterson, Salentine, Sanders and Clerk
Treasurer Marenda.
The Clerk-Treasurer noted that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the open
meeting law.
Circuit Court Judge Patrick C. Haughney congratulated the incumbents on their re-
election to office, and wished them all well with the duties to be undertaken.
Judge Haughney administered the oath of office to:
William Le Doux Alderperson District 2
Nancy Salentine Alderperson District 4
David Sanders Alderperson District 6
Mark Slocomb Alderperson District 7
The Clerk-Treasurer presented a Certificate of Election to each newly elected official.
Aldermen Le Doux, Salentine, Sanders and Slocomb made a few comments.
ELECTION OF COUNCIL PRESIDENT
On the nominating ballot, the following nomination was made:
Alderman Slocomb
On the first election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Alderman Slocomb 6
Alderman Slocomb was elected President of the Common Council.
ELECTION OF COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE TO THE PLAN COMMISSION
On the nominating ballot, the following nomination was made:
Alderman Le Doux
On the first election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Alderman Le Doux 6
Alderman Le Doux was elected to serve as Council Representative to the Plan
Commission.

Mayor noted that the Council representative should own property in the lake district if
possible.
On the nominating ballot, the following nomination was made:
Alderman Salentine
On the first election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Alderman Salentine 6
Alderman Salentine was elected to serve as Council representative to the Little
Muskego Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District.
Ald. Petfalski moved to adjourn at 7:22 p.m. Ald. Sanders seconded; motion carried.
