COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD OCTOBER 27, 2000
Approved November 14, 2000
The meeting was called to order at 10:15 AM by Acting Mayor Slocomb. Also present
were Ald. Chiaverotti, Le Doux, Salentine and Wichgers, Engineering/Building
Inspection Director McMullen and Clerk-Treasurer Marenda. Ald. Patterson and
Sanders were absent. Slocomb advised he would exercise his right to vote as
alderman.
The Clerk-Treasurer stated the meeting was noticed in accordance with the open
meeting law on 10/25/2000.
NEW BUSINESS
Reso.#221-2000 - Resolution Authorizing Submittal of Grant Application by the City of
Muskego for a Brownfield Site Assessment Grant. Salentine moved for adoption.
Chiaverotti seconded. Mr. McMullen explained the resolution was required in order to
qualify for brownfield initiative funding, as the Council must agree to participate in the
funding since it is not a 100% funded grant. The grant could be used for the land
acquisition and watercourse improvements for the Somogji property or other applicable
projects in the 2000-01 period. Motion carried 5-0.
REDUCTION IN LETTER OF CREDIT - Champions Village Addition No. 3. Mr.
McMullen recommended that the Letter of Credit be reduced by $408,395.00.
Approximately $295,000 will remain for Phase 3 after this reduction. Salentine moved
to approve reduction of the Champions Village Addition No. 3 letter of credit by
$408,395.00. Le Doux seconded. Motion carried 5-0.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW
A draft of the November calendar was reviewed. A Committee of the Whole meeting
th
was added for November 9.
Le Doux moved to adjourn at 10:32 AM. Chiaverotti seconded. Motion carried.
