COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved
MINUTES OF ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING HELD APRIL 18, 2000
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor De Angelis. Also present were
Aldermen Slocomb, Chiaverotti, Le Doux, Patterson, Pionek, Salentine, Sanders and
Clerk Treasurer Marenda.
The Clerk-Treasurer noted that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the open
meeting law.
Ald. Pionek presented his comments as outgoing Alderman of District 3.
Clerk-Treasurer Marenda administered the oath of office to:
Peter D. Lentz Municipal Judge
Municipal Judge Lentz administered the oath of office to:
Patrick Patterson Alderperson District 1
Chuck Wichgers Alderperson District 3
Kathy Chiaverotti Alderperson District 5
Judge Lentz spoke briefly.
Aldermen Patterson, Wichgers and Chiaverotti made their comments as newly elected
officials.
Reso. #82-2000 - Recognizing the service of Donald Pionek. Slocomb moved for
adoption. Salentine seconded. Carried 7-0.
ELECTION OF COUNCIL PRESIDENT
On the nominating ballot, the following nomination was made:
Alderman Slocomb
On the first election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Alderman Slocomb 7
Alderman Slocomb was elected President of the Common Council.
ELECTION OF COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE TO THE PLAN COMMISSION
On the nominating ballot, the following nominations were made:
Alderman Salentine
Alderman Chiaverotti

On the first election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Alderman Chiaverotti 5
Alderman Salentine 2
With the 2/3 vote of the Council required, Alderman Chiaverotti was elected to serve as
Council Representative to the Plan Commission.
ELECTION OF COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE TO THE LITTLE MUSKEGO LAKE
PROTECTION AND REHABILITATION DISTRICT
Mayor noted that the Council representative should own property in the lake district if
possible.
On the nominating ballot, the following nomination was made:
Alderman Salentine
On the first election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Alderman Salentine 7
Alderman Salentine was elected to serve as Council representative to the Little
Muskego Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District.
Le Doux moved to adjourn at 7:27 p.m. Chiaverotti seconded; motion carried.
