COMMON COUNCIL
MINUTES OF ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING HELD APRIL 16, 1996
The meeting was called to order at 7:03 PM by Mayor De
Angelis. Also present were Aldermen D'Acquisto, Misko,
Marenda, and Circuit Judge Marianne Becker.
Patterson, Rasmussen, Salentine, Sanders and Suhr, City Clerk
were made.
Comments from Ald. Misko, Treasurer Sanders and Clerk Marenda
Judge Becker made a few comments and administered the oaths of
office to:
David L. De Angelis, Mayor
Jean K. Marenda, Clerk-Treasurer
Laura L. Mecha, Assessor
Patrick A. Patterson, Alderperson District 1
Don Pionek, Alderperson District 3
Domonic R. D'Acquisto, Alderperson District 5
Jill Blenski, Deputy Clerk
Sally A. Luell, Deputy Treasurer
Mayor De Angelis and Aldermen Patterson, Pionek and D'Acquisto
spoke briefly.
D'Acquisto moved for adoption. Sanders seconded. Sanders was
Reso. #85-96 Expressing Appreciation to Jean A. Sanders.
thanked for her years of service as Treasurer. Motion carried
7-0.
Reso. #86-96 - Expressing Appreciation to Brian R. Misko.
Patterson moved for adoption. Sanders seconded. Misko was
thanked for his contributions as Alderman. Motion carried 7-0.
Mayor reminded all aldermen to initial the paper ballots when
casting their votes, and noted a simple majority was needed for
Council President and LML Rep, and a 2/3 vote for Plan
Commission representative.

On the nominating ballot, the following votes were cast:
Ald. D'Acquisto 4
Ald. Patterson 3
On the first election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Ald. D'Acquisto 4

Alderman D'Acquisto was elected President of the Common Council

On the nominating ballot, the following votes were cast:
Ald. Salentine 6
Ald. Sanders 1
On the first election ballot, the following votes were cast:
Ald. Salentine I
Alderman Salentine was elected to serve as Council
Representative to the Plan Commission.

PROTECTION AND REHABILITATION DISTRICT
Mayor noted the Council representative should own property in
the lake district if possible.
On the nominating ballot, the following votes were cast:
Ald. Salentine 6
Ald. Pionek 1
On the first election ballot, the following votes were cast: e Ald. Salentine 6
Ald. Pionek 1
Ald. Salentine was elected to serve as Council representative to
the Little Muskego Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District.
Mayor announced that the paper ballots were available for
public inspection and can be viewed at any time. Mayor stated
he would make committee appointments at the Council meeting on
4/23/96.
motion carried.
Suhr moved to adjourn at 7:40 PM. Ald. Salentine seconded,
