Also present were Aldermen D'Acquisto, Misko, The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor De Patterson, Rasmussen, Salentine, Sanders, and Suhr, City Clerk .a Marenda, City Attorney Molter, and Deputy Clerk Blenski. Clerk reported that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law. D'Acquisto moved for approval of minutes of the 5/9/95 Common Council meeting. Sanders seconded, carried. Clerk read the Notice of Closed Session COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR'S OFFICE Mayor stated that the LML dam issue should be coming to a close. COMMITTEE REPORTS D'Acquisto presented minutes of the 5/17/95 and 5/23/95 Finance Committee Meetings and moved for acceptance. Patterson requested that the 5/17 minutes reflect that the vote was 2 - 1 for Operator's License for David Fuller with Patterson voting "no. 'I Sanders seconded, carried. Suhr presented minutes of the 5/10/95 Public Welfare Committee Meeting and moved for acceptance. Patterson seconded, carried. Salentine presented minutes of 5/11/95 Public Safety Committee Meeting and moved for acceptance. Rasmussen seconded, carried. 0 Salentine presented minutes of 5/17/95 Public Utilities Committee Meeting and moved for acceptance. Sanders seconded, carried. Minutes of the 5/16/95 Plan Commission Meeting, 5/8/95 Parks & Recreation Board Meeting, and 5/2/95 Library Board Meeting were received and placed on file. Clerk requested Ald. Suhr to correct the 5/8/95 Parks & Recreation Board minutes at the Board's next meeting to reflect that she was present and gave the oath of office to the Board members. NEW BUSINESS Reso. #105-95 - Preliminary Resolution Declaring Intent to Exercise Special Assessment Police Powers Under S66.60 WI Avenue and City Hall Watermain (Project MW-19-95; Assessment Statutes as to Water Improvement Assessment Area for Racine District "WO"). Sanders moved for adoption. D'Acquisto seconded. Carried 7-0. Reso. #106-95 - Approval of Certified Survey Map - Foley, Town of Waterford. Misko moved for adoption. Suhr seconded. Carried 7-0. Reso. #107-95 - Denial of Legal Lot Status - Nowak. Misko moved for adoption. D'Acquisto seconded. Carried 7-0. Reso. #108-95 - Amendment to Deposit & Forfeiture Schedule. Carried 7-0. .m Ord. #E68 - An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Map of the City of Muskego RS-2 to RS-2/0PD (Deer Creek). First Reading. Ord. #869 - An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Map of the City of Muskego R-2 to R-2/0PD (Champions Villages of Country Club Villages). First Reading. D'Acquisto moved for approval of Operators' Licenses for Brian Lenz, Jean Gray, David Fuller, Joseph Neary, Diane Landers, Allen Kokott, and Richard Brzezinski, new agent, Ann Morelli, for Open Pantry for 1995-1996 license year subject to all conditions being met for the issuance of said licenses and Temporary Operators' Licenses for James Heiden and Michael Congemi. Sanders seconded, carried. D'Acquisto moved for approval of Temporary Class "B" Retailer's License for Muskego Jaycees for June 10 and 11 with rain dates of June 17 and 18. Rasmussen seconded. Carried 7-0. D'Acquisto moved for approval of General Vouchers in the amount of $1,123,219.58. Sanders seconded. Carried 7-0. D'Acquisto moved for approval of Tax Checks in the amount of $1,331,589.88. Patterson seconded. Carried 7-0. Sanders moved for approval of Utility Vouchers in the amount of $289,716.08. Rasmussen seconded. Carried 7-0. COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLAWEOUS BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW Mayor gave the Council an update on the LML dam matter per request of Ald. Misko. D'Acquisto moved to convene into Closed Session pursuant to S19.85(l)(e) Deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session, more specifically acquisition of Industrial Park Property. Action may be taken in Closed Session. The Council will reconvene only for the purpose of adjournment. Sanders seconded. Carried 7-0. The Clerk and Deputy Clerk were not present for the remainder of the meeting. Patterson moved to adjourn at 9:25 P.M. D'Acquisto seconded, carried. Minutes taken and transcribed by Jill Blenski.
