COMMON COUNCIL
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 23, 1994
The meeting was called to order at 7:40 P.M. by Mayor De
Angelis. Also present were Aldermen Patterson, D'Acquisto,
Dumke, Misko, Sanders, Taube, Woodard, City Clerk Marenda,
Deputy Clerk Blenski and City Attorney Molter.
Patterson moved for approval of minutes of the Common Council
Meeting held August 9, 1994. Dumke seconded, carried.
The Clerk read the Notice of Closed Session.
COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR'S OFFICE
Mayor announced his appointments to the newly formed Mayor's
Task Force on Economic- Development: Ald. D'icquisto, Aid.
Taube, Jean Zangerle, William Madsen, Harry Brodel, Mike Sekula,
and Dallas Strube.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Sanders presented minutes of Finance Committee Meetings held
8/11/94 and 8/23/94 and moved for acceptance. Patterson
seconded, carried.
D'Acquisto presented minutes of Public Welfare Committee
Meeting held 8/10/94 and moved for acceptance. Patterson
seconded, carried.
D'Acquisto presented minutes of Public Works Committee Meeting
held 8/11/94 and moved for acceptance. Misko seconded, carried.
D'Acquisto presented minutes of Public Works Committee Meeting
held 8/11/94 and moved for acceptance. Dumke seconded, carried.
D'Acquisto presented minutes of Public Utilities Committee
Meeting held 8/18/94 and moved for acceptance. Sanders
seconded, carried.
Minutes of the Library Board Meeting held 8/2/94, Parks and
Recreation Board Meeting held 8/9/94 and Plan Commission Meeting
held 8/16/94 were received and placed on file.
OLD BUSINESS
Reso. #146-94 -Proceedings by the Common Council of the City of
Muskego to Discontinue and Vacate a Road Right-of-way (Mercury
Drive) Introduced 6/28/94. On the floor, deferred 9/9/94.
Patterson moved to defer for review at Public Works Committee.

Reso. #182-94 - Authorization to Contract with Professional
Service for Design of Roof Replacement - City Hall/Library.
Sanders moved for adoption. D'Acquisto seconded. Taube moved to
amend to add that the $2,250 expenditure for professional services
be taken from Contingency. Dumke seconded, carried. Reso.
#182-94, as amended, carried 7-0.
LICENSE APPROVAL
Patterson moved for approval of Operators Licenses for Loretta
Carried 7-0.
Schimmel, Georgiann Bosanac and Scott Koester. Dumke seconded.
Norman Chaput, Joanne Chaput, Robert Reinke and Carrie Williams
Patterson moved for approval of Temporary Operators for
Taube seconded. Carried 7-0.
Patterson moved for approval of Temporary Class "B"/"Class B"
Retailer's License for Muskego Community Festival - August 26-28,
1994. Sanders seconded. Carried 7-0.

VOUCHER APPROVAL
Patterson moved for approval of General Vouchers in the amount of
$2,476,927.02. Dumke seconded. Carried 7-0.
Patterson moved for approval of Tax Vouchers in the amount of
$2,372,401.51. Sanders seconded. Carried 7-0.
Sanders moved for approval of Utility Vouchers in the amount of
$293,003.53. Woodard seconded. Carried 7-0.
Mayor called a recess to await arrival of Attorney. Attorney
Riffle arrived at 9:28 P.M. Patterson moved to convene into Closed
Session pursuant to S19.85(l)(g) Conferring with legal counsel for
the governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice
concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to
litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved, more
specifically Little Muskego Lake Dam. The Common Council will then
reconvene into Open Session to continue with agenda items. Taube
seconded. Carried 7-0.
Reso. #183-94 - Approval of Concept for Settlement of Little
Muskego Lake Dam Case with the following documents attached:
8/12/94 letter from Atty Molter with draft Easement document
attached, 8/22/94 letter from Atty. Riffle with fax correspondence
attached from Atty. Murn including draft Stipulation and Order and
Easement documents. Taube moved for adoption. D'Acquisto
seconded. Carried 7-0.
CITY OFFICIALS' REPORTS
The Clerk stated that the term limits petitions received were
insufficient due to form.
The Clerk reported two Public Hearings are scheduled for September
27, 1994 as follows: 7:20 P.M. to consider an amendment to Chapter
17 and 7:25 P.M. to consider an amendment to Chapter 18.
D'Acquisto moved to adjourn at 11:05 P.M. Misko seconded, carried.
