MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 14, 1990
were Aldermen Dumke, Hilt, Patterson, D. Sanders, and Simmons,
Called to order at 8:21 p.m. by Mayor Salentine. Also present
City Attorney Molter and City Clerk Marenda. Aldermen H. Sanders
and Taube were absent.
It was noted that the Public Hearing scheduled to be held on the
Bushberger rezoning was canceled due to Bushberger's withdrawal
of the petition.
Hilt moved for approval of minutes of meeting held July 24,
1990. Patterson seconded, carried.
Clerk read press release regarding Stoneridge Landfill expansion
which states that the present landfill will close on August 31,
1990 with possible reopening by mid-1991. Muskego residents will
be offered free dumping at the Metro Landfill located near the
junction of Highway 45 and 37 in Franklin in the interim.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Hilt presented Finance Committee minutes of August 8 and 14, 1Y90
and moved for acceptance. Dumke seconded, carried.
Simmons presented Public Works Committee minutes of July 26, 1990
and moved for acceptance. Dumke seconded, carried.
Patterson presented Public Safety Committee minutes of August 2,
1990 and moved for acceptance. Simmons seconded, carried.
Patterson presented Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee minutes of
August 2, 1990 and moved for acceptance. D. Sanders seconded,
carried.
Minutes of Plan Commission meeting held August 7, 1990 were
received and placed on file.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Ord.//691 - An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 10, Section 10.07(3) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Muskego (Abatement of
Nuisances) Second reading. Patterson moved for adoption.
Simmons seconded, carried 5-0.

Reso.#184-90 - Resolution As To Grievance (AFSCME - City
moved to amend to delete last paragraph. Dumke seconded,
Hall/Library) Hilt moved for adoption. Dumke seconded. Hilt

Reso.#187-90 - Amended Final Resolution Authorizing Installation
of Water Improvements and Levying Special Assessments Against
Benefited Property (Park/Lake Drives h Kichards Lane Water
Project - MW-9-90) Hilt moved for approval. D. Sanders
seconded, carried 5-0.
Reso.#188-90 - Approval of Preliminary Plat - Meadow Green West
Addn. #2. D. Sanders moved for approval. Simmons seconded. D.
Sanders moved to amend last paragraph to read "BE IT FUKTHER
RESOLVED that approval of this preliminary plat is contingent on
rezoning this property to RS-2/0PU which must be obtained prior

Reso.#190-90 - Resolution Indicating City's Present Intent to
Approve the Concept of KS-l/L/OPD Zoning Proposed by the City.
D. Sanders moved for approval. Dumke seconded, carried 4-1 with
Dumke voting "no".
Reso.#191-90 - Renewal of Extractive Permit and Portable Asphalt
nyne h Dolan. D. Sanders moved for adoption. Hilt
seconded, carried 5-0.
Reso.#192-90 - Approval of Offer to Purchase (Muskego Industrial
Park Addition - Seitz Eqpt.) Hilt moved for adoption. Dumke
seconded. Hilt moved to amend "approval" to "disapproval" and to
amend second paragraph to read "HE IT FUKTHER RESOLVED that the
Mayor and Clerk are authorized to make a counter offer for
$26,000.00 per acre subject to the inverts being charged back to
the buyer for material only to be installed within two years from
the date of closing, with the City to provide, at the City's
expense, three (3) culverts and that the counter offer include
language acceptable to the Mayor and the City Attorney as to the
flood plain and alleged contaminated ground, if the Mayor and
City Attorney deem appropriate," and to further amend paragrpah
three to add "only if the Counter Offer is accepted by Seitz
Equipment h Rentals or Assigns." Dumke seconded, carried.

Ord.41693 - An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Map of the City of
Muskego (Bushberger - KS-2 to KSl/OD) Bushberger withdrew
request. Requested to put request for withdrawal in writing.
Muskego (Verburgt - S-W to RS-3/0LS) First reading.
Ord.#694 - An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Map of the City of
LICENSE APPROVAL
Hilt moved for approval of operator's licenses for Dale Keup,
Kathleen Karcher and Theresa Giesegh subject to receipt of
Larry Roberts, Kimberly Norby, Susan Hense, Brett Jorgenson,
favorable police reports. Dumke seconded, carried.
Hilt moved for approval of Gathering Permit for Muskego Community
August 24th & 25th and 11:OO p.m. restriction on August 26th.
Festival - August 24-26, 1990 with 11:30 p.m. restriction on
Dumke seconded, carried 5-0.
VOUCHEK APPROVAL
Hilt moved for approval of payment of General Vouchers in the
amount of $227,468.44. Dumke seconded, carried 5-0.
Simmons moved for approval of payment of Utility Vouchers in the
amount of $115,605.93. D. Sanders seconded, carried 5-0.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW
Clerk reported the assessment Public Hearing will be held on
August 28, 1990 at 7:15 p.m. for the Racine Avenue/Gemini North
water project.
Atty. Molter stated that the Kristin Down Water Trust transfer is
proceeding, and should be concluded within the next few weeks.
Mayor stated that MMSD's non-approval of new sewer plans will
have a negative affect on future growth of the City, and that all
FLOW communities are being affected.
Simmons moved to adjourn at 9:45 p.m. Dumke seconded, carried.
