3 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 22, 1990
Called to order at 8:12 p.m. by Mayor Salentine. Also present
were Aldermen Dumke, Hilt, Patterson (arrived at 8:22 p.m.), D.
Sanders, H. Sanders, Simmons and Taube, City Attorney Molter and
City Clerk Marenda.
Dumke moved for approval of minutes of meeting held May 8,
1990. Hilt seconded, carried.
COMMITTEE MINUTES
H. Sanders presented Finance Committee minutes of May 16 and 22,
1990 and moved for acceptance. Hilt seconded, carried.
D. Sanders presented Public Utilities Committee minutes of May
17, 1990 and moved for acceptance. Hilt seconded, carried.
Plan Commission minutes of May 15, 1990 were received and placed
on file.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Ord.#679 - An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Map of the City of
Muskego (Kurer - RSA to RSM) Second reading. D. Sanders moved
for adoption. Patterson seconded. D. Sanders reported on Plan
Commission recommendation to deny due to density. Motion
defeated 7-0. Patterson moved for reconsideration. Simmons
seconded, carried 7-0. Simmons moved to amend to add to Section
Section 3 "continued on attached", and to add the following

Reso.fl123-90 - Resolution Confirming the Selection of Recreation
Hulbert, addressed the Council explaining the interviewing

adoption. D. Sanders seconded. Patterson moved to amend the
salary to $24,331.12 to start, $25,236.29 - 6 months, and
$29,063.81 - 18 months, and to amend paragraph 3 to add
"contingent on the acceptance of the position by May 29, 1990."
Simmons seconded, carried 4-3 with Patterson, D. Sanders, Simmons
and Taube voting "yes" and Hilt, Dumke and H. Sanders voting
"no". Resolution #123-90, as amended, adopted 7-0.
Reso.#124-90 - Resolution Providing For the Continued Support of
FLOW. Simmons moved for adoption. D. Sanders seconded, carried
7-0.
Reso.#125-90 - Appointment of Members to Capital Budgeting
Committee. Hilt moved for adoption. Taube seconded, carried 7-

stated under the existing ordinance expenditure of funds from
park dedication for park garage construction was not

Reso.1140-90 - Approval of Preliminary Plat - Lake Forest (Terra
DeveloDrnent). D. Sanders moved for adODtion. Simmons
seconded. Taube moved to amend last paiagraph to read "BE IT
FURTHER RESOLVED that this approval is conditioned on rezoning of
this property to RS-3/0PD prior to approval of the final plat."
H. Sanders seconded, carried. Resolution V140-90, as amended,
adopted 7-0.
Reso.#141-90 - Resolution In Support of Senate Bill 483. Simmons
moved for adoption. Patterson seconded, carried 7-0.
Reso.lll42-90 - Resolution Authorizing Ehlers and Associates, Inc.
To Receive Proposals for Promissory Notes. Hilt moved for
adoption. H. Sanders seconded. The increases in the project
costs were discussed. Simmons requested further review by
engineers and moved to defer. Patterson seconded. Clerk
requested commitment from Council to make funds available for the
Lake/Park Drives water project. With approval of second, Simmons
added to his motion that funds be committed from Unappropriated
Surplus for the Lake/Park Drives water project to allow signing
of contracts. Motion defeated 6-1 with Simmons casting the only

"yes" vote. Resolution #142-90 adopted 6-1 with Simmons casting
the only "no" vote.
Ord.#680 - An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 3.08 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Muskego (Accounts Receivable) First reading.
LICENSE APPROVAL
H. Sanders moved for approval of operator's licenses for Jodie
Krawczyk, Alice Derry, Kristine Husting, Edie Kramer, Pamela
Hodgson and Christine Differt subject to favorable police
reports. Dumke seconded, carried.
VOUCHER APPROVAL
H. Sanders moved for approval of payment of General Vouchers in
the amount of $1,409,409.76. Taube seconded, carried 7-0.
Hilt moved for approval of payment of Utility Vouchers in the
amount of $205,545.01. D. Sanders seconded, carried 7-0.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW
Mayor reported that an ad has been run for a temporary mower
operator for the Highway Department at $5.00/hr.
Patterson moved to adjourn at 11:55 p.m. Simmons seconded,
