MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 27, 1989
were Aldermen Dumke, Hilt, Patterson, D. Sanders, H. Sanders,
Called to order at 8:28 p.m. by Chairman Salentine. Also present
Simmons and Taube, City Attorney Macy and City Clerk Marenda.
H. Sanders moved for approval of minutes of meeting held June 13,
1989. Hilt seconded, carried.
A Proclamation was read proclaiming July as Parks and Recreation
month.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
0
Hilt presented minutes of Finance Committee meeting of June 21
and 27, 1989 and moved for acceptance. Dumke seconded, carried.
Simmons presented minutes of Public Welfare Committee meeting of
June 14, 1989 and moved for acceptance. Patterson seconded,
carried.
D. Sanders presented minutes of Public Utilities Committee
meeting of June 15, 1989 and moved for acceptance. Simmons
seconded. The last sentence of the sixth paragraph was corrected
to read "to amend the present contract to include the 2005
service area." Motion carried.
Taube presented minutes of Public Works Committee meeting of June
22, 1989 and moved for acceptance. Dumke seconded. Taube
requested separate consideration of paragraph pertaining to
Motion to adopt minutes without said paragraph carried.
Icetronauts with said paragraph to be returned to committee.
Plan Commission minutes of June 6 and 20, 1989 were received and
placed on file. Simmons requested a letter be sent to the City
of New Berlin stating that it is the feeling of the City of
Muskego that the Piggly-Wiggly property is being kept up
properly.

Ord.#654 - Ordinance to Repeal and Recreate Section 3.01 and
Create Section 3.015 of the Municipal Code of the City of Muskego
moved for adoption. Hilt seconded, carried 7-0.
(Tax Roll h Property Tax Collection) Second reading. Dumke
Ord.#655 - An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 12.03(l)(a); (7) (c) and
(7)(d) of the Municipal Code of the City of Muskego (Peddlers,
moved for adoption. Taube seconded, carried 7-0.

adoption. D. Sanders seconded. Mayor noted the recommended
asssessment changes for the corner lots were made with the
additions charged to non-assessable. Motion carried 7-0.

RESOLVED that the Parks h Recreation Supervisors, in consultation
Sanders seconded. Simmons moved to amend to add "BE IT FURTHER
with the Mayor, are directed to attempt to obtain the land costs
from the Assessor and pare down the report in such a manner as to
reduce the cost." Carried. Resolution #173-89, as
amended, adopted 7-0.

Hilt moved for approval of operator's licenses subject to

Hilt moved for Refuse Hauler Permit for the City of Waukesha-

Hilt moved for approval of Class "B" Gathering Permit for St.

Hilt moved for approval of Class "B" Gathering Permit for Little

Hilt moved for approval of Special Permit for Bushy's on July 15

Hilt moved for approval of payment of General Vouchers in the
amount of $253,188.23. Dumke seconded, carried 7-0.
H. Sanders moved for approval of payment of Utility Vouchers in
the amount of $11,449.86. Simmons seconded, carried 7-0.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW
It was noted that there would be no Finance Committee meetings on
July 5 and 11, 1989 and no Common Council meeting on July 11,
1989.
Clerk requested what type of notification of Public
Hearing should be given to consider the positions of Mayor and
Treasurer as full-time. Patterson moved to direct the Clerk to
publish a "Class 2" Notice after the recommendation of the
Atty. Macy stated some communities are also having an

Mayor noted that U.S. Representative Kleczka will be at City Hall
on July 7, 1989 at 1:3O p.m. to discuss various issues.
The Clerk noted that the Notice of Feasibility Report had been
received from the DNR pertaining to expansion of the Waste
Management landfill site in Muskego, which would be distributed
to the aldermen for their review and to the City Attorney with
the request that any requests for Public Hearings be submitted to
the Clerk immediately.

carried.
